In the Chinese art history,the landscape painting in Jin Dynasty is rarely being followed and studied.However,it serves as a certain connecting link beween the preceding and the following.It has a great influence on paintings in the early Yuan dynasty by inheriting and developing the main art style of landscape in Northern China.Starting from presenting pieces of classical landscape paintings in Jin Dynasty,This article analyzes Jin landscape paintings' characteristic of patterns,sources of styling,significant themes,concepts of expression and influence on later genres,discusses the closing relationship in expression of the landscape paintings between Jin and Earlier Song Dynasty,and depicts its continuity and growth of the interaction between Schloars and Landscape paintings since Early Song Dynasty.It argues that in general,Jin landscape paintings inherited and developed the li cheng(??)and kuo his' s(??)genres and also influenced by Fan kuan(??),Yan Wen Gui(???)and other Earlier Song dynasty landscape painters.Furthermore,it absorbed the taste ad zest from the Southern Song Synasty zhao linrang(???),Ma yuan(??),Xia Gui(??)'s landscape paintings and internally developed a regional style characterized by snow cover landscape and etc.Thereby,inheriting its trandition and merging with innovation becomes the overall appearance of the Jin landscape paintingsEven though there are many painters from Jin Dynasty,we only can see a few of artworks of Li shan(??),Wu yuanzhi(???)and etc.In addation,in the northern song dynasty,the tradition of appraisals and paintings,paticipated by scholars such as Su shi(??),Wen tong(??)and Mi fu(??)was inherited and developed ideally in the Jin Dynasty,”Suology diffusing to North” did not only influence on the painting,but also on every specific aspects of Han culture in Jin Dynasty.Wang Tingjun(???),bing-wen zhao(???),Yuan haowen(???)is the most famous during the period,Some dominators of Jin Dynasty were fond of Han culture.such as Jin,zhangzong Wanyan Jin(???)and Wanyan Shou(???),etc,trigged the art zent and culture trend of promoting the sinicization,advocating inheritance,emphsizing retro.It became an effective way to erect and strengthen their concept of "China",as well as provided a a strong security for inheriting and developing ideal symbol of schema of the Earlier Song Dynasty landscape system in Jin Dynasty.With arranging and organizing the existing predecessors' research,this study is striving to seek a broader definition of Jin landscape paintings' appearance from two dimensions which are morphology and axiology in order to provide a much clearer silhouette for this certain connecting link beween the preceding and the following.
