During the rule of the Northern Warlords the society was undergoing a great transition from an old stage to a new one and the whole society was in bad order in that the authority of the old rule was smashed while the new one was still under the way. At that time a variety of reasons led frequently to mutinies, which was throughout the whole stage of the Northern Warlords and became a big headache ahead of the Northern Warlord government. The mutinies at that stage is an important aspect for us to research the rule of the Northern Warlords and also a vital reflection of the politics, economy, military and social history of the stage.This article ,based on the research fruit yielded by the study of the former scholars and tried to collect new materials, has described in detail the mutinies took place in North China during the stage of the Northern Warlord rule and made an initial exploration and discussion on this subject.The article has explored the mutinies broke out in the stage of the Northern Warlords and the influence on the society and the Northern Warlords from three aspects such as the process of the mutinies ,the responses of both the government and the general public to the mutinies and the analysis for reasons of the mutinies.
