Morphological Research Of Anxiety In Field Of "Dao-De" Phenomenology

Morphological research of anxiety in field of "Dao-De" phenomenology roots in interests on "moral anxiety" as a whole concept.With phenomenology as the basic running-through research method,this doctoral dissertation will restate the meaning of "Morality"(i.e."Dao-De" in Chinese philosophy)and more specifically,its internal structures.In the whole structure of "Life-Process and Three-Domain",we see life-evolving as a periodical process,most importantly,anxiety is the key point of such a whole life advancing chain.In this sense,we can clearly see that anxiety has not been seen as just the negative experiences,but on the other hand,plays positive role in life's promotion that has profound self-denied meaning."Life-Process and Three-Domain" as the core of this research,has been explained as follow:"Life-Process "(referring to "Dao-De" as a whole)is based on the differentiation of "Dao" and "De",which,in other words,means innate consciousness and acquired consciousness respectively,as well as correspondingly two different paths determined by consciousness's orientation.In general,innate consciousness goes first beyond a so-called "I",being experienced as natural as it is.Comparatively,acquired consciousness refers to subject or personality which is generated from intention's drawn boundaries and self-identification when fallen out from unrestrained existence domain."Dao" and "De" constitute the two basic dimensions of life together."Three-Domain" refers to three stages of acquired consciousness,i.e.symbolic domain,for-itself domain and realistic domain.Symbolic domain bases on "I" seen as subjective effect whose the most distinguish characteristic is self-identification should necessarily be identified firstly by its objects,thus having a mirror-image relationship between subject and object.As to for-itself domain,there is a comparatively independent and steadily-performing subject who is trying to find its own existing foundation in this world,forming some certain personalistic structures as well as their functions respectively(i.e.will,perceptions.feelings and intentions),also requesting themselves to concord and accord.Realistic domain points to subject's trying to establish real interaction between others and environments,and realize individuals' value under the guide of social activities."Three-Domain"represents three main life states,which respectively are:connection level,sentiment level and sense of reality level.Based on the construct and discussion about "Life-Process and Three-Domain" theory,it will enter the mechanism research and morphology research,continuing to deepen basic structures of the theory and putting anxiety into the whole theoretical framework to be some necessary links in promoting life's own interpretation."Dao-De" as a whole life-running field,whose basic operating rule is free(without any elements decided from subject),whose essential impetus is acquired consciousness's containing within the innate consciousness.Accordingly,internal separation between "Dao" and "De" manifests existing anxiety,which generates mainly from solidified intention and acquired consciousness's distorted choice,showing inevitably sense of homeless and powerless.Weak conscious could probably steadily raise the curtain of symbolic domain,fabricating a perfect fancy and cooperating itself to appear perfect.Symbolic domain roots in "I" considered as a subjective effect,as the first acquired stage since fallen out from"Dao",in one hand,it has the promptly convenience to return its innate field,in other hand,it may easily sufferfrom all kinds of bewilderments(i.e.missing anxiety)such as ingratiation,criticizing,super-reason and interruption.When missing anxiety feels insupportable pain because of leakage of the inner power,it has arisen a subjective motivation to establish a persistent existing foundation and to find a sense of presence within the subject,thus entering for-itself domain.For-itself domain has an intact sequence of characteristic structures and limited free level,however,the certain type of anxiety in this stage----we call it as hypocritical anxiety----has significant traits in the following aspects:not every personality level has been aware of in the scope of clear consciousness,or under the condition of limited free,subject suppresses or contorts itself,or personalities generate inner conflicts,etc.In those circumstances,subject may face with the possibility of self-deception.To cope with hypocritical anxiety,life transits to its third period which we call it as realistic domain,in which subject has to conduct real exercises,setting up comparatively impersonal and controllable system to erect a social-identified status as the entrance to social practice only by which we can accomplish social values.If subject fails to enter and conform to realistic domain,it should get stuck in trouble which we call it as accomplishing anxiety,showing as action delay,perverted superiority,overly ambitions,etc.As outlook of this research,we point out the next possible stage is ethical domain,which,however,goes beyond the scope of this dissertation.Anxiety as especial and necessary link during the whole course of "Life-Process and Three-Domain",we can point out a clear developing clue that the former anxiety drives life evolution going forward and temporarily embodying in the next anxiety form,prompting life states continuously more expansively.Those anxiety forms,following its inner logic,appear like this:the fallen anxiety from "Dao" to "De","De"'s limited free anxiety,"De"'s failing anxiety during self-establishment,primary fear of "I" when firstly entering this world,anxiety in mirror-image relationship,failing anxiety of projective identification,anxiety of never-self-gratification,anxiety of self-distortion,anxiety of self-escape,anxiety of no realistic status,anxiety of separation of knowing and action,anxiety during social creating activities.In the outlook of the whole dissertation,from respect of applied research,we give an anxiety self-testing template based on the trying of combining the structures of symbolic domain and for-itself domain.As a structural and no-limits research,we can understand anxiety under different framework especially paying attention to its positive meaning during the whole inner life evolving.
