Research On The Anxiety Psychology Of Intellectual Images In The New Century Novels

China's economy has grown rapidly during the social transformation era.Social structure and values have all changed significantly.The rapid change of the society has brought material and spiritual stress to people and anxiety is spread all levels of the society.In face of the shocks of Western Postmodernism and Market economy,intellectuals are easier to produce anxiety due to their sensitivity and their thinking about society.Both intellectuals' alienation due to their marginalized social status and their stress of living increase the anxiety of intellectuals.In such an era background,contemporary writers are not only participants and experienced people,but also roles of introspector and reflectors.Therefore literary writing has become a window to express the anxiety of intellectuals,which has been an important way to express their concern for society and deep self-reflection.Anxiety characteristics of intellectuals are obviously reflected in their literatures.Many intellectuals showed anxiety in the novels of new century,which fully depicted the material living anxiety and enlightenment anxiety of the struggling,depressed and fallen intellectuals.This paper is intended to display the material living anxiety and enlightenment anxiety intellectuals in novels and search for the cause of anxiety from various aspects through reading and combing the representative works of novels in new century,in the perspective of the anxiety of intellectuals.The paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter summarizes and sorts out the existing research results of the intellectual images of the new century and the anxiety of the intellectuals,and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the existing research results.The second chapter comprehensively combs out the social causes and manifestations of the anxiety of the intellectuals from the "anxiety mentality" and the intellectuals,the social transformation and the mental symptoms of the intellectuals,and the anxious mentality in the modern and contemporary novels.The third chapter reveals the material survival anxiety of intellectuals from different dimensions,and demonstrates the manifestation of moral transcendence under the material survival anxiety of intellectuals.The fourth chapter is the exposition of the state of enlightenment and anxiety of the intellectual image.The fifth chapter is aiming to comprehensively analyze and sort out the different choices made by different intellectuals by textual reading in the siege of anxiety-struggling,wandering,fleeing,and espousal.The conclusion part summarizes the significance and practical significance of the study of the intellectual image in the novels of the new century,and explores the possibility of the intellectuals' search for an appropriate coping style under the image of their anxiety.
