A Comment On The Plaster Art Of Thailand Buddhist Craftsmen And The Origin Of Typical Doctrines

This research has three main purposes:1.to study the pattern and concept of urban sculpture design on a public area in central part of Thailand nowadays;2.to find out the differences of design and identity of landscape pattern in each focus area;3.to search for the influence of sculpture artisan on landscape pattern in Thailand.The main research focuses on the sculpture art of local and renowned artisans in the target area in Bangkok and neighboring provinces of Bangkok.The research was done by interviewing artisans,studying the sculpture works in the sites which is related to the concept of landscape pattern and then analyzing the results from the first two steps.The results of the research are as follows:1.Some identities and style of renowned sculpture artisans have an influence on design of public landscape pattern particularly Bangkok.2.The co-relation between urban sculpture and landscape pattern,for example,in a park,in a main street plays an important roles for decorations of big city like Bangkok,Pattaya,which motivate people to do activities together and being a relaxing place.3.The sculpture works of artisans in central of Thailand divided into two groups:traditional group and contemporary group.The occurrence of these two groups is concerned with society's expectation,local tradition and artisans' styles.
