Just as Yuan Mei said:"The Tang poets attached great importance to Five-character regulated verses."Five-character regulated verses occupies very important position in the genre system of Tang Poetry,It is not only the first stereotyped genre of the regulated verses,but also a hub which linking the ancient style verses and regulated verses.At the same time,Five-character regulated verses occupied the largest number among the Tang poets' poetry,while the Tang Dynasty is the most brilliant period in the history of this genre.In addition,the poems of imperial examinations in the Tang Dynasty are mainly composed of Five-character regulated verses with six rhythms,the essential foundation of it is Five-character regulated verses,which determines the important position of Five-character regulated verses in the political life of the Tang poets.Therefore,it can be said that Five-character regulated verses is the first genre of the Tang Dynasty.By systematically reviewing the evolution of Five-character regulated verses in the Tang Dynasty,this essay initially return to the original cicumstance of the development of Five-character regulated verses and concludes the unique aesthetical pursuit of this genre in the Tang Dynasty.In addition to the introduction,this essay is divided into six chapters.The introduction part puts forward the concept of "stylistics of Tang poetry"and analyzes the significance,current status and imbalance of this study.It points out that there is a serious discrepancy between today 's research on Five-character regulated verses in Tang Dynasty and its status and achievements.At the same time,the introduction part also introduces the basic situation of the number and stages of Five-character regulated verses in the Tang Dynasty,and deeply analyzes the research status quo and trend of Five-character regulated verses in Tang Dynasty.The first to the fifth chapter systematically combs the historical evolution of Five-character regulated verses in the Tang Dynasty from the perspective of history.Different from the mechanical division of the scholars from the time limit,this dissertation divides the Five-character regulated verses from the angle of the artistic total of the poem——"Ti"(Mainly refers to style and genre),which include QiLiang Ti,early Tang Ti,prosperous Tang Ti,middle Tang Ti,Du Fu Ti,Dali Ti and Yuan-Bai Ti,Zhang Ji Ti,Jia Dao Ti.Specifically,the first chapter discusses the first stage of the preliminary structure of Five-character regulated verses in Tang Dynasty,that is,the evolution from QiLiang Ti to the early Tang Ti,and points out that there are two kinds of patterns which inclued creating by regulated style and creating by ancient style.The second chapter discusses the main stage of forming the Tang dynasty's Five-character regulated verses of authenticity and classic works——prosperous Tang Ti.And It points out that some aesthetic choices of the poets in the prosperous Tang Dynasty exerted a far-reaching influence on later Five-character regulated verses.The third chapter discusses the extremely successful Five-character regulated verses pattern which nanmed Du Fu Ti,with his own power,Du Fu set off the Tang Dynasty's Five-character regulated verses second aesthetic change.The fourth chapter discusses the aesthetical characteristics and development situation of Five-character regulated verses in the Dali period.A series of subtle changes have taken place during this stage.The fifth chapter discusses the later Zhenyuan's Five-character regulated verses.In this period,it's influenced by many kinds of aesthetics paradigms such as Yuan-Bai Ti,Zhang Ji Ti and Jia Dao Ti,especially the last one.The sixth chapter further summarizes the unique aesthetical pursuit of Five-character regulated verses in Tang Dynasty from the perspective of horizontal comparison:Firstly,through the comparison of QiLiang Ti to the Tang Ti,reveals the artistic progress of Five-character regulated verses in Tang Dynasty;secondly,through The comparison between the early-prosperous Tang and the middle-late Tang,reveals the transformation of Five-character regulated verses aesthetics pursuit of the Tang Dynasty.Thirdly,by combing the evolution and development of two kinds of patterns which refers to creating by regulated style and creating by ancient style,then point out that the reason of the Five-character regulated verses which creating by ancient style became the superior pattern in the Tang Dynasty.The fourth is the comparison of the Five-character regulated verses and the Seven-character regulated verses in terms of the performance principle and dominant style,it further reveals the problem of art division between this two genres in the Tang Dynasty.Part of the rest also on the Five-character regulated verses in Tang Dynasty related to some of the issues were extended to explore.
