The Body Politics Research On Chinese Female Films

Film is the art of body language firstly.Watching films must begin with a study of"body".The academic community has made some achievements in the theoretical study of Chinese film body culture.But the body politics research on Chinese female films is still vacant.Under the premise of re-editing the history of Chinese female films,on the basis of the political study of the fourth generation of female films in the context of consumer culture,this paper focuses its research on the first three generations of female directors and their film works since the founding of New China.Thesis uses the theory of "author/director body" to analyze their film works in the changing background of film creation.It is hoped that when individual female directors and their film works are discussed from the perspective of gender and body,they can play a role in the body politics research of Chinese female films.The thesis cuts in from the perspective of gender.Based on the confrontation and compromise between the "passive body" and the body with "active potential" in the specific environment,it focuses on the following core propositions——How do Chinese female films construct and characterize the body since the founding of New China?How does the body politics presentation of Chinese female films adapt to the changes of the times?The main contents are as follows:The introduction part redefined the "female movie" and linked it with the times to become a historical cultural concept.It also introduced the current research status of "body politics" and Chinese film body politics research.The six chapters of the main text are the film works of Wang Ping and Kena Dong in the first generation of female film directors,Shujun Shi,Junzheng Wang,Shuqin Huang in the second generation of female film directors,and the third generation female film director Hu Mei.The text focuses on the themes,characters,and thoughts of women's films in different historical periods and different generational divisions,discusses to what extent they reflect the new social subject and gender construction and their new desires and ideals in the new era,while also reflecting on history Women's tactics in the conspiracy with the mainstream ideology and the specific challenges and revolts.
