Mindfulness is a hot area of research in recent years. The research on mindfulness is mainly focused on clinical practice. Most studies show that mental intervention based on mindfulness has a good effect on reducing stress and improving well-being,but the intrinsic mechanism of mindfulness for exerting efficacy is largely unknown. Many researchers believe that de-automatization may be one of the core functions or mechanisms of mindfulness. However, the de-automatic mechanism of mindfulness has not been fully explained and studied. Therefore, this study builds a mental mechanism model of de-automatization from the four dimensions of awareness, attention, focus, and acceptance by combing the course of mindfulness study, and through a series of experiments to study the unique psychological de-automatic mechanism of each dimension. At the same time,on the basis of revealing the psychological mechanism, the study further explore the neuropsychological basis of this mechanism, and the clinical intervention effect,in order to provide evidence for clinical application support to prevent the abuse of mindfulness. The experimental design of this article mainly includes the following three parts of the research content.Study One aims to examine the psychological mechanisms of mindfulness training in the awareness, attention, focus, and acceptance levels to produce deautomated effects.Experiment one used the classification-confirmation paradigm to study the temporal processes and cognitive mechanisms of stereotype activation effects to examine the de-automating effects of mindfulness at the level of awareness. The results show that mindfulness has the effect of facilitating the subjects to complete the matching task.At the same time, this promotion is more obvious under the task mismatching experimental conditions. This also reveals that the deautomatic mental mechanism of mindfulness at this level is through interruption of automation. The processing of the suspension stops affecting its current activities.Experiment two used the classic Stroop task to examine the de-automating effect of mindfulness at the attention level. The results analysis found that mindfulness training has the effect of improving the completion of ongoing Stroop tasks. This shows that the psychological mechanism of mindfulness is mainly reflected in making the cognitive activities under attention more flexible. When there is some sort of automated disturbance, mindfulness can block this interference and shift attention to the current task.Experiment three examines the de-automating effect of mindfulness in focusing on the current level. As a result,it has been found that college students' level of rumination has been significantly reduced after mindfulness training. The mechanism at this level is embodied in the following: Mindfulness can, through the promotion of metacognitive insights, allow individuals to turn their attention from the habitually passive-negative mindset to the center of attention.Experiment four examines the de-automating effects of mindfulness at the level of acceptance. It was found that the youth's anxiety level and automatic thinking level improved significantly after mindfulness training. The de-automated effect is mainly achieved by preventing repression, that is,when fear and anxiety appear, the automated reaction of the psychological event is observed without judgment, and the thoughts and feelings caused by the event are adjusted so as not to be affected by the previous reflective thinking mode.Based on the findings of the study one,Study two used event-related potentials(ERPs)to examine the impact of mindfulness on the automatic and unconscious cognitive processes that appear in stereotypes, and to explore the changes in the brain's cortex that are used to de-automate cognitive processes, thus revealing mindfulness to de-automate electrophysiological mechanisms. It was found that mindfulness had no effect on early ERP components.Under the condition of mismatched tasks, the N400 amplitude of the mindfulness group was significantly smaller than the N400 amplitude of the control group, and N400 reflected that the perceivers extracted information from long-term memory through cognitive efforts. In the process, the decrease in volatility means that the special semantic linking of the mindfulness group stored in the long-term memory is weakened, reflecting the de-automating effect of mindfulness. In addition,Study two also found that P600,which reflects the intensity of stereotyped beliefs, also showed significant changes.Under the non-matching task conditions,P600 amplitude decreased significantly after mindfulness training. It can be seen that the de-automatic effect of mindfulness is reflected in P600.Study three examines the clinical mechanisms of mindfulness to de-automate and the effects of interventions.Firstly,Experiment six uses mindfulness-based cognitive therapy(MBCT)to intervene in college students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)to study the improvement of ADHD symptoms, neuropsychological performance(attention network test,ANT),and mindfulness level. The results show that mindfulness-based cognitive therapy has produced significant changes in multiple dimensions.Compared with the control group, the mindfulness group showed a lower level of attention deficit symptoms,a higher rate of rehabilitation, significant improvement in anxiety symptoms, increased level of mindfulness, and increased attentional ability(increasing ANT function).Studies have shown that mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is an effective intervention for patients with ADHD in improving ADHD symptoms, mindfulness, and continued attention.Secondly, through qualitative research methods and interviews,we will fully understand the individual's experience in participating in mindfulness training, especially in the awareness, attention stability, focus, and acceptance these four aspects to automate, acquisition, and the view of negative events. To understand exactly the changes in individual psychology during mindfulness training, and to help better understand mindfulness to de-automatic mechanisms and clinical interventions. In sum up,this study explores the de-automatic psychological mechanisms of mindfulness on awareness, attention, focus, and the acceptance level, and the automating effects of mindfulness. At the same time,we examined the impact of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy on ADHD.The clinical intervention effect is that, the mindfulness training enables the individual to focus on physical feelings, increase the level of awareness, and help the individual to be more objective and rational when dealing with negative events in life, and is less affected by the automation effect, and fundamentally promotes the level of physical and mental health of the individual.
