The autonomous reconstruction of modern and contemporary painting field covers multiple dimensions.The research dimensions include the historical dimension of modern and contemporary painting,the internal-relationship dimension of painting practice and the relationship dimension between painting and society.We focus on discussing the significance of autonomy implied in the field relationship of painting in practical creation,and conduct layering research through artists' cases and specific individual practical experience.The part of painting field composition involves the historical context of modern and contemporary painting,and the exposition on the correlation between the external field and the internal field of modern and contemporary painting.The external field proceeds from the practitioners' body field,the fields of body consciousness,habitus,intentionality and action to the creation field of painting.The creation field of painting involves the three-layer structure consisting of painting of the times,painting of the studio and field painting,and explains the relationship and differences between them through artists' cases.The part of social relationship field of painting involves the composition of social conventions of painting,the network of social relations,and the distribution relationship of painting art.Then it goes to the analysis of the composition of the internal field of painting,involves the linguistic form field of painting,that is,the relationship between text and context.Text needs the support of context.The thesis points out three kinds of logic,namely,imitative logic,symbolic logic and conceptual logic.Then it goes to the construction characteristics of the virtual field relationship within painting,the practice field contained in painting,and the interaction between the internal field of paintings,the external space and other media.For example: 1.The relationship between painting and space.2.The relationship between painting and found-object text.3.The relationship between painting and digital media as well as acoustic and optoelectronic media.Then it goes to the analysis of the audience field and the propagation field of painting which covers the exhibitions,the structure of aesthetic level of the society,and the struggle of the external relations of painting field.Then it goes to the interlaced relationship between body and works,works and exhibitions,as well as exhibitions and society,and the discussions on boundary problems of painting field.Two representative modern and contemporary artists,Giacometti from Europe and Lichtenstein from the United States,are enumerated.The structures of their painting fields provide evidence for the composition of painting field with actual cases.The core part of this thesis is the discussion on the problem of autonomous reconstruction in painting field which involves the definition of autonomy and relevant elements,such as: the problem of autonomous reconstruction of the creator,autonomous reconstruction at linguistic level and autonomous reconstruction at acceptance level.It analyzes and combs autonomy from individuality,subjectivity and autonomy progressively and takes how autonomy overcomes crisis and constructs autonomy of painting as the focus of discussion.It also extends the question of reflection from autonomy.Painting practitioners' practice problem field analyzes specific problems from the practice to respond to the exposition of theoretical part.It practically investigates the structure of the field in which the practitioners live,the current situation of the problem and throw out the practical problems of practitioners from practitioners' point of view and practitioners' social field,so as to obtain the practitioners' autonomous structure in reflection.At present,new problems are being carried out and constantly evolving in painting practice in the hope of throwing a stone to clear the road,so as to lay a shallow theoretical foundation and framework for the practical research on the problem of the relationship between painting and social field.
