In xinjiang uygur autonomous region, there are more than 20 ethnic groups among the 56 ethnic groups in China, among which the uygur, kazak, kirgiz and uzbek are the main ethnic groups. In their folk literature works, heroic epics and various narrative poems are even more magnificent, which have a far-reaching influence on the cultural development of these nations and have a decisive historical status and infinite charm.Because of various historical reasons, these ethnic groups have become cross-border ethnic minorities in China. In order to study more comprehensively the heroic epics of these ethnic groups, this paper defines the research environment and groups as the ethnic minorities in xinjiang.Manas, the biography of ugusi khan, alpalmisi, and the ancient kuorkut book are all typical epic poems of kirgiz, uygur, and kazak ethnic groups in xinjiang.Nowadays, the study of Chinese epic poetry is developing rapidly and has a broad prospect. The great development of Chinese comparative poetics in the context of global comparative poetics has opened a new horizon for the study of Chinese epic poetry. It is not only a leap over the limitations of the text, but also an exploration of the interaction between oral epic text and written text to study the typical epic of the above-mentioned ethnic minorities in a comparative perspective and in a larger context. As the core area of the new silk road under the "One Belt And One Road" initiative of China, various epic studies of ethnic minorities in xinjiang will inevitably show a growing trend,so the topic and importance of the comparative study of heroic epics are increasingly prominent.Through the comparative study of the four most typical heroic epics,we can not only reveal the similarities and dissimilarities of these epics as well as the causes of their formation and development, but also have a clearer understanding of the four typical heroic epics in the comparison, which is conducive to mastering the overall characteristics and rules of these epics. It is of profound value and significance to expand the field of Chinese local epic studies and construct epic studies with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, this paper will combine the research method of motif to place the above four heroic epics in the research field of comparative poetics, and conduct a comparative study through the correlation between motif and form and content. This paper consists of three parts:introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction mainly explains the purpose and significance of this paper, defines the concepts of "epic","heroic epic","motif","type" and "function"in folk oral literature, and explains the research content, scope and methods of this paper. The main body consists of three chapters. The first chapter discusses the macro understanding and research overview of the most typical heroic epics spread in xinjiang and other central Asian ethnic groups, including the book of kuorkut, the manas, the biography of ugusi khan and alpalmisi. The second chapter mainly according to the hero magic birth motif, hero growth series motif, the marriage of the hero motif series, the hero and his adoptive mother topic series, the hero motif, hero return motif and so on six big series motif group, generalized and summarized respectively as the research object of the four epic contained in the motif and the whole narrative context. The third chapter mainly through the "ugusihan biography" "ancestor kuorkute book" "manas "and" alpalmisi" these typical heroic epics summed up by the mother and son of the motif of the comparative study method, summed up their respective types and structure model. The structure and motif of the heroic epics manas, alparmisi and the progenitor kuorkut are briefly studied and analyzed. Finally, the conclusion briefly summarizes the characteristics and thoughts of the magical birth, marriage, loyalty, war, return and other motifs related to the life experiences of the heroes and heroines in these epics,as well as the differences between them.
