Optimization Research On Chinese Film Scripts

The quality of the film script is the key to decide the artistry of the movie work and the success of the commercial benefits.At present,the demand on the excellent film script in the domestic film industry increases every day,however,the shortage of good scripts is the indisputable fact in the industry.However,there is not an universally-accepted judgment standard of evaluating the quality of the film script.Hence,this paper surveys the film script based on the systematic concept and researches the optimization problem,for the system theory framework with such dynamic concept bears the complicated connotation and the abundant explanation functions and applies to the film script which not only belongs to the narrative text,but also owns the movie industry process flow property.Therefore,in this article,the author adopted the practical research paradigm and integrate study,implementation and evaluation into a cycle of the loop as a researcher and a practitioner,then took innovating ideas and solving practical problems as study direction,instructed and summarized the actual situation faced by the existing film script.Meanwhile,the practical research paradigm laid emphasis on the law of the object of study which made the study process of this article focusing on the description of the process design and application of plan,so that the study of the paper can be integrated with practice,working out new approaches to summarize and solve problems in terms of framework and overall prospective.Meanwhile,the new film script research framework is constructed on the basis of the new comprehensive application method of the narratology and the film script writing method,to define the characteristics,structure,organization and function of the film script system from the brand-new perspective,probe into the systematical optimization process of the film script,analyze factors affecting and dominating the film scrip optimization,and bring a new perspective to the academic analysis on the film script.This research mainly includes the following key contents:The background of the research is narrated in the Introduction.The quality problem of the film script has been the hot topic cared by both the film industry and the theory field at present.However,the standards of "high quality" are not unified and can’t be unified,so this research has presented to evaluate the quality problem of the film script from the new dynamic perspective.The special property of the film script and the development goal of optimization pursuit are combined to determine the possibility for systematic research on the film script.In this part,the writer has teased up the current situation of research of film scripts at home and abroad and presented the problems,research thought and value concerned in this paper.Chapter Ⅰ This chapter decomposes the film script into "story element","discourse element" and "stylistics element",and corresponds such three parts to the organizational process composition in the creation process of film script,namely "material accumulation stage","film conception stage" and "artistic expression stage",which confirms the realizing strategy of film script optimization.Starting from the framework of the systematic theory,a systematic decomposition has been undertaken on the film script in accordance with the definition of "optimization"."Optimization",a concept within the systematic theory scope,means an improvement of the organization,structure and function of the system under a certain conditions and a process of realizing the highest efficiency and the biggest benefit.And the overall optimization of film script is expounded under the diachronic condition in order to survey the optimized expression mode of the film script in the overall and macro prospective.Finally,the internal impetus and external environmental condition influencing the optimization of film script are researched respectively to provide the theoretical basis and support for the subsequent research.Chapter Ⅱ The chapter solves the problem of "why the film script needs optimization",and researches and expounds the optimal objective of film script.The optimization target for the film script is to cater and satisfy the most important and most direct functional object-the director at first.For the director,the film script shall bear the integrality and the emergence property that are the foundation and requirements on the overall conception of film shooting.Besides,the chapter plays basic role in another objective for optimization of film script,namely confront the indirect functional object--development and prosperity of China’s film industry The constantly-emerged mainstream movie is the mainstay of Chinese film in glorious creation,and the optimized script shall provide the effective text with syncretic type for the mainstream movie as required to achieve such objective.In the meantime,expanding "IP" concept and building high-quality continuous "content" by utilizing the optimized script constantly provide the infinitely-extended high-quality story reserve and source for Chinese film.Finally,the optimized script could provide high-quality "idol star" for a main body crowd in present "fan economy" with different audiences as objects,and drives prosperous Chinese film market with stars to solidify the development ability of Chinese film in the whole industry chain.Chapter Ⅲ The Chapter solves the problem of "how the film script is optimized".A detailed analysis and elaboration of the key of optimizing the elements in film script and the realizing strategies of these elements for the detailed creation has been undertaken on the basis of integrating the narratology,the film scriptwriting theory,stylistics and the verbal behavior theory.The optimization of the film script is the overall and partial optimization under the system concept and the optimization of structure,function and organization process.The three elements: "story","discourse","stylistics",have formed up the stable contact way inside the internal structure of the film script,and constitute the whole script.With "story" element as the foundation for the film script,its optimization has a promotion meaning on the optimization of the film script.The key for the optimization of "Story" element for the film script is "the character traits" of the main figures in the story.The existence of "the character trains" also directly influences the material selection and the creation of the figure legend that needs to be done in the material accumulation phase of the film script.The "Discourse" element is the main characterization of the art performance and the plot structure degree of the film script.The key for the optimization of "Discourse" element is the narration rhythm produced by the script structure.The scene summary and the script outline have composed the operation method of the film script in the film conceptual phase,as the specific realizing step for the discourse element optimization in the film script.The "stylistics" element is the external presentation form of the film script,and the optimization key of the "stylistics" element is the "visual potential" of the scene script.During the creating process of the film script,the session headline explanation,the scene scheduling description and the character dialogue in the stylistics form can play the role in clear communication among scriptwriter,director and other functional personnel in participation in the film shooting.Chapter Ⅳ The Chapter further researches and supplements the problem of "how the film script is optimized" solved from the perspective of internal element optimization in Chapter III.There are two kinds of external security factors when the film script is regarded as the body: The direct safeguard optimizes the creation body,while the indirect safeguard sets up various awards.We couldn’t separately and still treat the optimization of film script which couldn’t be isolated with the creation subject of script--scriptwriter as all development evolutions and infinite high-quality tendencies of object.A series of functional performance of script is the direct safeguard for script optimization.Besides,the relevant government department in China pays much attention to the significance of film script in improvement of film quality for the purpose of promoting the prosperity of film industry,hence,setting effective and continuous awards is the indirect safeguard in optimization of China’s film script."Xiayan Cup Excellent Film Script Evaluation Activity" is the courage and support of the film industry competent department for the film script creation and the film scriptwriter cultivation in large scale for the first time and it expresses the attention of China government on optimizing the film script.The top three film awards like "Huabiao Award","Golden Rooster Award" and "Hundred Flowers Award" have provided value direction for the film script optimization of scriptwriter to some extent.The principles and award evaluation standards preserved by the "Film Association Cup" also have made some beneficial supplements to the above national "three swards".At last,the paper has briefly summarized and recalled the main research result and conclusion,as
