The Effects Of Emotion And Cognition Factors On The Third-party Punishment

In recent years,the phenomenon of "indifference to watch" and "good deeds against injury" appear continuously,such as "Pengyu Case","Xiao Yueyue Case","Jiangge case" and so on,third party punishment behavior did not get due encouragement,even misunderstanding and opposition.The lack of effective third-party punishment has led to people's own and even do harm to a neighbor,which has brought great challenges for us to establish a harmonious society of "Fairness and justice" and "stable and orderly".And in the large scale of social intercourse,in today's society of anonymity and one-shot features,the third-party penalty,which is not directly involved in the game,is an important means to reduce the "hitchhiking","betrayal" behavior,to promote the cooperative behavior of the group,and to maintain the stability and deterrence of social fairness and justice.What factors affect the interests of unrelated third parties willing to pay the price to maintain group equality? The author has studied the formation mechanism of this kind of altruistic punishment based on the two perspectives of "Emotion" and "cognition".The behavior of "emotion",which is a violation of social norms,evokes the strong negative emotion of individual,and the implementation of punishment brings a happy emotional experience to the individual after punishment,and "cognition" is the innate fairness preference and the strategic motivation based on self-interest.However,there are two aspects of the problem to be solved:(1)Aiming at the emotional perspective: the third party of the punishment of their own emotions,other people's emotions on their punishment decisions and the impact of the mechanism?(2)to the cognitive perspective: the influence of the inherent cognitive characteristics of the third-party punisher on its punishment decision and its mechanism?To solve the above problems,this study used four subject study,six experiments,the punisher itself from the third party's emotions,the emotions of others,and its rational cognition,and social effects on the punishment decision of "cognitive schemata".Research of laboratory studies,a combined with questionnaire survey method,investigates the third party their emotions(task irrelevant short instant emotion and long-term subjective well-being)impact on the game behavior punishment;Study two breakthroughs in this field the limitations of traditional research methods,using the "social computing" emerging interdisciplinary research methods,with the aid of computer simulation method,combined with intelligent decisionmaking framework,emotional contagion modeling technology,such as emotional contagion in simulated group on the influence of the third party penalty game,constructed the model of emotional contagion of third-party punishment(others' emotions to the punishment of a third party game,the influence of and the influence of the third party within the group on mood).This paper investigates the effects of third party's rational cognition on the punishment game.In this paper,we investigate the influence of the "cognitive schema" on the punishment game of the third party.Through the above four studies,this paper obtains the following main conclusions:1.Human nature is the pursuit of social equality,even if this preference is their irrational cognition,rational,and the influence of social cognition,but this altruistic behavior always stable.2.The third-party punishment decision is affected by its own emotional state,and this emotional carrying effect(carryover effects)has obvious gender differences.The specific performance is: it is more difficult for women to suppress negative emotions,whether shortterm or long-term subjective well-being,and negative emotions make women's fair standards more severe.,relative to women,men more difficult to control the negative emotions,shortterm positive emotions can let men reduce the punishment for moderate inequality behavior,while long-term subjective well-being will increase let men showed more altruistic punishment behavior of inequality,rich results,supplement and perfect the existing third-party emotional interpretation theory of punishment.3.Third party punishment is also affected by the emotional contagion of others in the group.Embodied in: in the real social emergency: high risk situation,the third party perceived stress degree is high,because of the influence of emotional contagion,almost all of the individual will be given up to punish for self-protection.While the risk scenario is low,the influence of emotional contagion is regulated by personality traits;Third parties can inhibit the spread of negative emotions within a group,which keeps the group in a stable and calm state,and improves the accuracy and effectiveness of group decision making.4.The third party's willingness and means of maintaining the equality and norms not only have rational thinking in pursuing their own interests,but also have social attributes that seek the comparative advantage status of the group.The more you have to pay the cost,the less you want to maintain equal will,and the more you choose to punish the offender rather than compensate the victim,the more you pursue your dominant position in the group.5.In the decision-making process of third-party maintenance,there are "narrow behaviors" facing different social classes.Compared with people of lower social class,people of higher social class are less likely to be punished in the same degree of violation of social fairness norms.This study from a third party the emotional state of the punisher itself,the emotional state of others,its reason has nothing to do with the social cognitive perspective to study the interest of the onlookers to regulate behavior in violation of fair punishment decision problem,broadened the research direction of third-party punishment,introduces new research techniques,the research in this field to provide new arguments and empirical evidence,the results will help us understand the influence factors of third-party punishment game,help to improve the third party individual survival adaptability,to promote a more fair society system of social norms.
