chapters are introductions and related theoretical explanations. In this two chapters, the philosophical background, cultural background, epoch background, theoretical and practical significance of the research were clarified. After combing the theory of political landscape and semiotics, inspired by the theory of landscape society, consumer society and cultural hegemony,it points out that political landscape emphasizes the construction of "visibility" elements such as architecture, borders, roads, squares, park green spaces, etc. The theory of semiotics to the paradigmatic and syntagmatic linkage analysis of political landscape elements was applied. The third chapter is the evolution of political landscape in Changchun in 1800-1945.Before the Puppet Manchuria period, under the influence of the construction of Chinese Eastern Railway, the invasion of foreign colonial forces, and the development of the city itself, the Changchun old city, the Changchun Chinese Eastern Railway-attached zone, the Changchun Manchuria Railway-attached zone, and the commercial area with different landscape formed gradually.Which presents the feudal urban landscape,Russian landscape,Japanese-style mixed landscape and national commercial prototype landscape. In the Puppet Manchukuo period,Japan planned and built the capital "Hsingking"(Changchun),which became the political, economic, military and cultural center for Japanese colonial rule in chinese northeast.Under the large-scale development and abnormal economic development,Changchun became a local consumer society, and the construction of the landscape paid more attention to its symbolic function to express the political intention of building power. The fourth and fifth chapters do the paradigmatic and syntagmatic analysis of the architecture of Changchun. The paradigmatic analysis of architectural elements of political landscape was done in the fourth chapter. The architectural symbols of Changchun had reappearance and symbolic meaning before the Puppet Manchukuo period. In the Puppet Manchukuo period,Changchun became the capital of the Puppet Manchukuo-"Hsingking",and the architectural symbols had reappearance, symbolism and metaphorical meaning, which was revealed in four ways: content-substance,content-form,expression-substance,and expression-form.The fifth chapter do the syntagmatic analysis the historical block of political landscape of Changchun. There were four urban areas in Changchun before the Puppet Manchukuo period, and the regional dominant regime focused on the boundary elements in the political landscape and the clear territorial division was used to declare sovereignty. In the Puppet Manchukuo period, the Japanese colonists divided the “Hsingking” urban construction into three phases, and created the political center of Shuntian Street, the city financial center of Datong Street, the Nanling cultural and education center, and the transportation center. The construction of buildings, roads, plazas and park green spaces in the functional divisions, the regional differences were created and deepened, and the city of illusion was created to cover the aggression nature of Japanese colonists and the essence of militarism. The sixth chapter is about the discussion of the collective memory of political landscape and the development and protection of political landscape in Changchun residents. The historical controversy and dual mission of the political landscape in Changchun were discussed according to combining the elements of political landscape with the elements of urban image.Five elements including building, region, street, square, and park are extracted to conduct a questionnaire survey of residents' collective memory, and the spatial visualization of elements is carried out by using GIS.The main
