A Study On The Degree Category Of Pinghua Used By Miao Nationality In Hunan-Guangxi Border Region

The category of degree is a universal semantic category in human language.Starting with the semantics of degree,this paper investigates the different forms of expression in five Pinghua used by Miao nationality used by Miao nationality dialect points,namely,Weijiang Township,Wutuan Township,Chetian Township,Lanrong Township,Guanxia Township,and explores their grammatical functions,semantic features and pragmatic values,and tries to examine the sources of some expressions from a historical perspective.Through the internal comparison of five dialect points,we find the similarities and differences in the expression forms of the degree category of each point of the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects in the border of Hunan and Guangxi.By comparing with the surrounding Chinese dialects,this paper finds out their similarities and differences,and tries to explain the similarities and differences from the perspective of language contact and linguistic typology.The full text is divided into eight chapters,the main contents are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research situation of degree category,the distribution of Pinghua used by Miao nationality in Hunan-Guangxi border,the research content,significance and method of the article,and the basis of investigation,phonological system and pronunciation partners.The second chapter mainly discusses the definition,characteristics and classification of degree category.The category of degree exists in the objective world,the cognitive world and the linguistic world.The category of degree in the linguistic world reflects the category of degree in the objective world.The category of degree in language is characterized by subjectivity,relativity,fuzziness,hierarchy and continuity.The category of degree can be divided into the category of strong degree and weak degree,the category of explicit degree and implicit degree,the category of affirmative degree and the category of negative degree.Finally,the main manifestations of the level category of Pinghua used by Miao nationality in the border areas of Hunan and Guangxi are simply shown from the three levels of morphology,syntax and pragmatics.The third chapter mainly discusses the vivid forms of the adjectives in the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects in the border of Hunan and Guangxi.Firstly,this paper describes the vivid forms of adjectives in Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialecst in Hunan and Guangxi borders,and introduces their constituents,syntactic functions and semantic features.Then it discusses the two forms of expression: XA and AXXY.For XA,this paper analyses the characteristics of XA,which acts as the component of X and A.Through comparison,it is found that XA of Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialecst in the border of Hunan and Guangxi is similar to XA of Longsheng Xinhua dialect in the border of Hunan and Guangxi,but the number is small.It is proposed that the adjective morphemes that can be used as A describe the nature of things that are easy to perceive.The construction of XA has the construction meaning of description and intensity,which is developed from nouns or verbs as adverbials.With regard to AXXY,this paper mainly discusses the phonetic and semantic features that can serve as the components of A and XX.The AXXY pattern,in which adjective morphemes act as A,is particularly rich,which is an important feature of the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialect in the border of Hunan and Guangxi,which is different from the Xiang dialects.Chapter Four mainly discusses the absolute degree adverbs that serve as adverbials in the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects in the border of Hunan and Guangxi.Firstly,the paper introduces the absolute degree adverb system of the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects in Hunan-Guangxi border area.Then it makes a synchronic comparison of the commonly used and distinctive degree adverbs and explores their sources.This paper mainly discusses adverbs of degree such as Tian(天),Lan(烂),Man(蛮),Hao(好),Ji(几),Shang(伤),Kaiyi(盖一),Shi(是).The degree adverb Shang(伤)in the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects in the border of Hunan and Guizhou is a relic of the degree adverb Shang(伤)in the ancient Chinese,and its combination function is stronger than that of the degree adverb Shang(伤)in ancient Chinese.The characteristic degree adverb Shi(是)of Chetian point is developed from the copula.The fifth chapter mainly discusses the relative degree adverbs used as adverbials in the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects in the border of Hunan and Guangxi.Firstly,the relative degree adverb system is introduced in general,and then the characteristic of the highest degree adverbs,,higher degree adverbs,dependence-relationship degree adverbs,such as□ko???,Hai(还),Laimeng(来蒙),Laimenglai(来蒙来),BianXbian(边X边)etc.Chapter 6 mainly discusses the degree complement of the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects in the border of Hunan and Guangxi.Firstly,the degree complement system is introduced.Then it introduces the various forms and usages of the degree complement with the meaning of death in the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects.This paper introduces the usage of degree complement Hen(很)in detail and makes a cross-dialectal and cross-linguistic comparison.It is suggested that the word order of Hen(很)as a complement may be a legacy of the word order of Miao language in the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects in the border of Hunan and Guangxi.This paper introduces the usage of the characteristic degree complement Wu(巫)in the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialect of Guanxia,which has the function of expressing strong degree negation.Chapter 7 mainly discusses the special word order of the degree adverbs in the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects in the border areas of Hunan and Guangxi.The degree adverbs in the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialects in the border of Hunan and Guangxi can be placed before verb-complement phrases to modify which adjectives act as complements,prepositional phrases act as complements,and trend verbs act as complements.Some degree adverbs in the Pinghua used by Miao nationality dialect in the border areas of Hunan and Guangxi can also be placed before subject-predicate phrases to modify themThe eighth chapter is the conclusion,which mainly summarizes the main characteristics of the degree category of Pinghua used by Miao nationality in the border areas of Hunan and Guangxi and the innovation and deficiencies of this paper.
