Research On Early Industrialization And People's Livelihood Design In Northwest China

This research based on the current situation and industrial background of livelihood design in northwest China,including social situation,public sentiments,folk customs,and characteristics of craft production which are the most vital basic condition for the development of modern Chinese design.Through the research on the phenomenon of livelihood design in northwest China over the period from late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China,the sales mode,industrial form and design creativity of livelihood design are restored,and the evolution law,cultural value and social value of livelihood design in northwest China from late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China are revealed.To explore the influence of the people's livelihood and industrial conditions in the region on the early industrialization of modern China and the function of incubation and promotion.From the perspective of design,this paper analyzes the changes happened in the choice of consumers in the development of livelihood design in northwest China during this period,and pays close attention to the cost measurement,behavior habits and lifestyle of consumers.Therefore,the sprouting,development,functions and effects of the early industrialization in northwest China not only reflect the collision and game,exchanges and integration between local traditions and foreign cultures,but also reflect the evolution and changes of the modern livelihood design in northwest China.Modernized(industrialized&civilized)society takes industrialization(its main content:mechanization,standardization and scale)as its production mode and takes civilization(its main content:scientization,democratization and rule of law)as its way of life.The people's livelihood product consumption group gradually formed around this new production mode and lifestyle is the key to the development of people's livelihood design.The social value of livelihood design production and marketing formats in northwest China is to gradually accept civilized life style and advanced production mode.It is the essential difference with traditional design production and marketing formats that causes the new and old industries to form conflicts,breakthroughs and expansions around design consciousness,production mode and sales way in the early industrialization process in northwest China,and then gradually brings about social civilization and progress.The social atmosphere and cultural context formed by the social life and production formats in the early industrialization process in the northwest region are different from the environment of traditional handicraft industry.Under this condition,this paper analysis the industrial chain of creative design,production,operation and sales involved in the development of livelihood design in the region.From the perspective of the cultural causes of design behavior,the full text is divided into five parts according to the time nodes,including the early industrialization and the emergence of design in the northwest region before the Westernization Movement;Westernization Movement in Late Qing Dynasty and early people's livelihood design;the Northwest Economic Strategy in the New Deal in Late Qing Dynasty;industrialization and people's livelihood design in northwest China during the Republic of China(before Anti-Japanese War);industrialization and people's livelihood design in northwest China during Late Republic of China and Anti-Japanese War.Explaining the genes of things related to these design behaviors leads to the conclusion that,under the background of continuous introduction and expansion of western modern industry and commerce,the growth of people's livelihood and design in northwest China is an inevitable result with the gradual changes in the traditional production and labor methods and the corresponding living and consumption ways in the long-term feudal system in northwest China.
