People's Livelihood-based And Value-conscious

The dispute about Sun Yat-sen's historic view of people's livelihood has lasted for a long time in the field of philosophy. There's no consensus between them until now. It is a prominent question that making a reasonable explanation about the historic view of people's livelihood which could both conform to the original intention of Sun Yat-sen and consistent with the spirit of the age at present. Dividing and appraising in the form of philosophical qualitative analysis is not good for us to recognize the value of the theory. In fact it is an abstract interpretation which separated from the human and human's independent practice. Practice is the fundamental tenet of Marxism. Basing on the practice view of Marxism, it is necessary to reveal Sun Yat-Sen's historic view of people's livelihood from the value dimension now. In order to absorb "the reasonable essence" of the theory, we must unscramble its historical formation, explain and clarify the values of its major viewpoints, excavate its theoretical and practical significance.The though is always the projection of the reality and the echo of human's history in the social organism. The historic view of people's livelihood was found by Sun Yat-Sen in modern China. He took "the people's living condition" as the philosophical studying object, summarized the revolutionary experience, Sublated the achievements of human civilization, so his historical view showed the features of the times. The historic view of people's livelihood embodies six basic aspects:the implication of people's livelihood, the evolution rule of history, the people's livelihood is the center of human history, the people's livelihood is the power of human history, the mutual help rule in society, as well as the joint forces view about the "three kind of people". Unscrambling these main points from the value perspective, we can see that the history view of people's livelihood clearly revealed a kind of subjective spirit. It mainly manifested in these aspects:the subject value conversion, the value orientation transformation and the value appraisal. In essence, it is a subjective historical view which highlight human's historical subjective status and value.The ultimate goal of the development and progress of the society manifests in improving the people's livelihood. The historical view of the people's livelihood based on the people's livelihood. The theory criticized the extreme disparity between the rich and the poor, showed the warm solicitude for the society's coordinated balanced development, took the even rich and poor and the common prosperity as the value goal, though highly of developing the social productive forces, attached importance to human's liberation and development, Pursued a comprehensive harmonious society in the economical, political and the thought morals. It includes the rich socialism thought and the harmonious social thought, displays the openness, advancing, practicality and national characteristics, so that it still has the contemporary values today. Although the people's livelihood is not the center of the history, actually it is the core factor to realize the social harmony. Although the people's livelihood is not the historical evolution driving force, actually it is the key aspect in advancing the social progress. The cooperation principle is not suitable in the revolutionary age, but actually it is the social development leading and guiding principle in peace time.
