Scientometric Analyses Of Knowledge Structure And Theory Evolution Of The Sports Science

As an important part of the scientific system,sports science has being built its own knowledge structure at an unprecedented pace,and the structure became deeper and broader.The study on the structure of sports sciences and theoretical evolution has important theoretical and practical significance.Based on the Scientometrics ' methods and visualization techniques,combined with the Theory of Scientific Revolution,using Citation Database of Web of Science,this paper analyzed the external interaction of sports science and other disciplines,internal knowledge structure and theory evolution.The results showed that:(1)From 1930 to date,the development of sports science has been fed by 150 disciplines of the five Big Science",physiology,orthopedics,neurology and neuroscience,psychology,surgery are the most important supporting disciplines of sports science;sports science has had varying degrees of impact on more than 150 disciplines,including physiology,orthopedics,neuroscience and neurology,rehabilitation science,general and internal medicine;sports science is a immature science,can only provide 21%-24%of knowledge that its own development needed;the relationship between sports science and other disciplines is dynamic.(2)The current mainstream branch of sports science,including athletic training,athletic selection,motor lea'rning,anthropometry,exercise chronobi.ology,sports nutrition,exercise p.hysiology,exercise biochemistry,biomechanics,sports medicine,sociology of sport,physical activity and public heal t h,physical education,adapted phys i cal education,sport and exercise psychology and other discipl ines,covering the natural sciences,humanities and social sciences and psychological sciences.(3)The discipline of sports management has made a rapid development in the past 20 years,and formed many research topics,including sports macroenvironment and policy,sports organizations,sports participation and consuming behavior,sports sponsorship,diversity,sports industry,sports tourism,professional sports league,social responsibility,which sports organizations study at the core of sports management science;the path of sports management diachronic evolution of the knowledge structure is "macro-environment,meso-organization,micro-individual"the theory and methods of social psychology has expanded multiple themes of sports management in the last 10 years,and became the new growth point of sports management knowledge structure.(4)The knwonlege structure of sports medicine is extensive and intensive,which sports traumatology is its main areas;the knwonlege structure of sports medicine is more stable than sports management,scientific discovery is an important driving force of evolution theory in the sports medicine.(5)Theory evolution of sports management and sports medicine shows that research methods and scientific discovery is an important driving force,and confirmed the theory of science revolution.
