SERVICE-LEARNING is listed in the graduation requirement at the most of Taiwanese institutions of higher education.SERVICE-LEARNING is defined as an experiential education approach,by providing the service for learning the denotation,including enthusiasm,sincerity,virtue,ethicality,caring,collaboration,compassion,generous,self-discipline,diligence,cooperation,altruist,etc.The approach helps the students to realize and experience during the service in order to reflect and enhance the mental growth.However,due to the intensely change and moral bankruptcy within the current society,the higher education students are expected to participate in SERVICE-LEARNING,then,strengthen one's kindness to benefit other people,society and nation.In this study,to investigate the relationship between SERVICE-LEARNING and civic virtue,we take a case study of an institution of higher education in Taiwan,To conduct two methods of research,we use data collected from 300 students in different grades and majors for analyze the relationship between varies.Furthermore,we also use in-depth interviews to collect data,containing meanings,processes,effect and review of SERVICE-LEARNING from professors,administration staffs,students and service receivers.Finally,our finding is expected to advise students,institutions and government for future educational policy development.
