As one specialized filed of research or one discipline,the philosophy of education always regard guiding or revolving our general understanding of education as the basic mission.Then it must provide some kind of general explanation.Based on different paradigm of philosophy,it will provide different philosophy of education,and then different general understanding of education must be found.From the 1980s,the philosophy of education gradually gets rid of the dependence of the mythology of analytic philosophy,and then begins to approach practical philosophy.In that context,the main form of the philosophy of education changed from analytic philosophy of education to the practical philosophy of education.Then the philosophy of education begins to focus on the educational practice,rather than the conception and proposition of education.On the other hand,because of the transformation of the environment of social history and the challenge of education itself,both of which demand the philosophy to understand the general education from the thought and viewpoint of practice.Then to build the philosophy of education on the base of practical philosophy is reasonable.However,because of practical philosophy has a broad spectrum,and include complex and various type of theory,different practical philosophy usually provides different thought and viewpoint of practice.So the philosophy of education,which builds on the base of the practical philosophy,will be possible?And how?And how to understand education and educational practice?Both of such problems begin to the basic problems of the philosophy of education.Therefore,it will be meaningful and well-founded to establish the subject,namely the theory of educational practice,in the view of practical philosophy.We are sure that the philosophy can't break away of the history of philosophy,and the evolution and innovation of the philosophy always based on the new explanation of the old conception and theory.The philosophy of education as a type of philosophy theory,which has the same research tradition and can't break away of the history of the philosophy of education.If we want to rebuild the philosophy of education,then to provide the general understanding of education,we must focus on the historical communication of the practical philosophy and the philosophy of education,to rediscover how to understand the education and educational practice in the history of theory,and to generalized different explanation type of the historical theory of educational practice.Based on that precondition of mythology,we generalized the important types of the theory of education practice.Comply with the analytic principle of unifying the history and logic;we first pay attention to the classic theory of education practice of Aristotle,who found the practical philosophy.Since modern times,Bacon's empiricism philosophy provide one kind of philosophy of engineering practice,which start from the critique of scholasticism and lead to one type of theory of education practice,we can called it as science-empiricism,Comenius and Spenser are the representative personage.Kant accepts the influence of Rousseau's critique to the philosophy views of modernity,which based on Bacon,Hobbes and Locke's theory.And then regard the moral practice as the only form of practice;build one kind of philosophy of moral practice,based on which one kind of theory of education practice come out,we can called it as morality-idealism.Besides that,Herbart provides one kind of comprehensive discourse,which based on the development of philosophy and empirical science from the modern times.Because of Marx and Dewey are not satisfying about the Intuitionism,dual thought and priori orientation of the thinking paradigm and logical form of traditional philosophy,then both of them based on the critique of the traditional philosophy and promote the modern practical philosophy coming into being.Marx critiqued the intuitive materialism and developed one kind of practical materialism;Dewey critiqued the traditional empiricism and developed one kind of practical empiricism.Based on Marx and Dewey's practical philosophy,we analyzed the different type of theoretical discourse of educational practice.In addition,because of the dissatisfaction of the control of the technological reason in our modern life,then one hope to restore the classical tradition begin to arise in the research filed of philosophy from 1950s.And later on,New Aristotelian begin to come out,based on which one kind of theoretical discourse of education practice formed later.In the history of the philosophy of education,all kinds of theory of education practice provide various understanding of the good of education,the process form of education and the object attribute for us.Today,if we want to acquire the general understanding of education and education practice on the base of practical philosophy,we must choose and rebuild one new kind of theoretical discourse of education practice,learn from the history and face the reality.We find that rationality problem has been the core problem in the research of philosophy,and the theory of practical rationality has been the component of practical philosophy.By which we choose the rationality problem of education practice as the fundamental problem to rebuild the theoretical discourse of education practice,and based on the comprehensive understanding of the reasonable element of the historical discourse of education practice,we try to provide one kind of theoretical discourse of education practice,which we called the theoretical discourse of practice rationality.
