Youth is the time when morality,quality and thoughts really need to be nurtured.From here,we perceive that the middle schools' citizen education is very imperative for teenagers to build up all these traits in an all-around way.The goal of the Vietnamese middle schools' citizen education course is to develop great students,who have plentiful knowledge reserve,immense skills and correct vision about life and world.And have great ability to judge all kinds of circumstances with better vision.Every country in the world,especially the advanced countries,has put its citizen education in the first place in middle schools' education system.The globalization trend is coming in,and the world advocate democracy and cultural diversity.On the basis of mutual understanding and respect for each other,there are more and more opportunities of interacting and cooperating with each other,that's the reason why the citizen education has to be updated on the subject and content to adopt new ages.In this paper,by consulting Chinese literatures and foreign literatures about citizen education,we analyzed the current status of the course of middle schools' citizen education,and find out the deficiencies in the course contents,and improve the deficiencies.At the same time,author put forward some new ideas and suggestions for the course contents of Vietnamese middle schools' citizen education to improve the Vietnamese middle schools' citizen education system according to modern age.The introduction part put forward the questions to be discussed in this paper.The Chinese and foreign literatures comprise the research achievements and experience of citizen education course.This part clarifies the research purpose and significance of the renovation of the course contents of Vietnamese middle schools' citizen education.This section introduces the research ideas,methodology,selection and application of this thesis.The first chapter explains the implication of citizen education system.The first section defines the concept of citizens,world citizens,citizens'education and world citizens,by analyzing the developed trend of today's citizen education.In the second section,author makes a deep interpretation of citizen education,and investigates the importance of citizen education Curriculum from the relationship between citizen education and curriculum.At the same time,it introduces the citizen education course form of typical countries;it also discusses and interprets the general contents of citizen education course.Second chapter explain the development of citizen education curriculum in Vietnam and the development process of different historical phases in Vietnam,and finds out the major features of citizen education in Vietnamese middle schools,and also explains the challenges faced by Vietnamese middle schools' citizen education in the context of the new era.Since the foundation of the main republic of Vietnam(1945),the Vietnamese communist party and the Vietnamese government and the education department are focusing on the nurturing of students' morality,ideal life,development of the party,government,and so on.The ultimate goal is to train students to become good citizens in the future,and contribute to the national social construction and build a harmonious society.Due to Global new era we face many new challenges,and promote citizen education work in the world to make reasonable updates,including Vietnam citizen education is no exception.Vietnamese middle schools' civic education curriculum content of reconstruction for the new factors such as civic consciousness,diversified development consciousness and so on is taken into account.The third chapter introduces the guiding ideology and methodology of education curriculum reconstruction in Vietnamese middle schools.This part is an important guide to reconstruction,some relevant viewpoints of the party and state,the quasi-knowledge,quasi-skills and quasi-attitude of the ministry of education to guide the implementation of education courses of Vietnamese citizens.The fourth chapter is about the value orientation of citizen education curriculum of Vietnamese middle schools,and also analyzes the goals and contents of education curriculum of citizen Vietnamese middle schools,we find out the advantages and disadvantages of the course.We investigate textbooks for citizen education curriculum of Vietnamese middle schools,and found that the contents setting are prosperous and suitable for students' physical and mental development.But there is also a serious lack of knowledge about the world,trends in globalization,international organizations and international affairs.In the community education of Vietnamese middle schools' citizen education,students'participation is neglected,and the content of students in the same course also fails to meet the goals and requirements of the development of education.The fifth chapter is the reconstruction and implementation of citizen education curriculum for Vietnamese middle schools.This part clarifies the theory and principle of reconstruction for the target and the content of Vietnamese middle schools' citizen education.The theoretical basis for the reconstruction of the curriculum content for Vietnamese middle schools' citizen education should take into account the understanding of individual subjectivity,the relationship between individual and state,the relationship between individual and society,and the relationship between individual and the world.The following principles should be followed in the reconfiguration of citizen education curriculum for Vietnamese middle schools:First,follow the steps of The Times and learn from the experience of advanced countries.Second,based on the contents of the original Vietnamese citizen education curriculum,and combined with the situation of the school to reconstruct.Third,adapt to the specific national conditions of Vietnam and serve the cause of building socialism better.Fourth,pay attention to the growing trend of globalization,integration into the world citizen education elements.In the process of reconstruction for Vietnamese middle schools' citizen education curriculum,it is necessary to pay attention to the cultivation of teenagers' knowledge,skills and attitude.It is also important to ensure that students of every age group will grow healthy both in physical and mental.In the reconstruction of the content for Vietnamese junior high schools' citizen education curriculum,it is necessary to strengthen the cultivation of students' civic awareness,the values of citizens,and the student's ability.At the same time,we should cultivate the diversity awareness of the global culture and causes the student to participate in a lot.In the reconstruction of the content for Vietnamese senior high schools'citizen education curriculum,we should pay attention to the cultivation of students' national civic consciousness and the consciousness of world citizenship,and it is important to cultivate students'subjectivity and public awareness.In cultivating the awareness of the world's citizens,we need to pay attention to the cultivation of diversified values,cultivate students' participation ability,and develop students to become good citizens who will participate in the discussion and settlement of international affairs.For better implementation,the reconstruction of the Vietnamese middle schools' civic education curriculum content is necessary,we need to develop more good teachers,update teaching methods,pay attention to overcome the deficiency of evaluation system of students,let the evaluation system of students really play its own function to meet the expectations of the reconstruction for Vietnamese middle schools' citizen education.
