Research On Chinese Basketball Ontology Values—From The Perspective Of Ball Fun

With the soaring of Chinese socialism,the whole society has stepped in social transformation phase.A number of policies has been promulgated by government in this Leisure Era to stimulate the development of leisure and healthcare industries,which has given instructions to the way of development of Chinese sports as well.Basketball is one of the most popular and influnential sport events in China and has been supported greatly by the government.Looking back at the problems of basketball history,and reviewing different basketball values means a lot to direct Chinese basketball and get more and more Chinese people happier by basketball influences.From a perspective of Ontology,this paper is redefining the basic principle and values of basketball event.This research used basketball characteristics and its functions as contents,western theories of playing and Ontology as theoretical references,following the historical logic of “ play-competition-sports event”,referring to “ Sports Entertainment and Amusement Theory”.The aim of this research is to recreate the concept of “basketball with fun”,to redefine the values and functions of basketball in Leisure Era and to share new undstanding with research colleagues.Based on Literature Review and Experts Survey,combined with skin conduction and PESIS experiments,this paper focused on the fun character of basketball and its values in various ages,concluded as following:(1)In terms of GDP amount,vacation lenghth and recent policies,China is entering the Leisure Era.Leisure Era has brought more attention on entertainment and self-awareness,entertainment and self-awareness are the foundation of basketball cultural values.(2)From the perspective of Ontology,the basketball fun is subjective preference and experience built by the interaction with the ball objective characteristics.Making baskets are the core of basketball fun.Watching basketball can bring as much feeling of enjoyment as playing basketball,and the enjoyment level varies according to the understanding of basketball.(3)The development of Chinese basketball has been through 3 stages since it was brought to China over 100 years ago:game character dominating stage—game character and instrumental character even stage—game character loosening.Leisure Era needs basketball’s come back of its game character.(4)From the perspective of Ontology,the core value of elite basketball lies on its production of performance,the core value of campus baskeball is education function,and that of mass basketball lies on its healthcare function.Political and economic values are not Ontology values.(5)Basketball’s political and economic values are derived from its ontology values.Basketball becomes a symbol and diplomatic tool for its”harmless to anybody” character.The economic values exist because basketball fun could be sth to sell in a market and creats supply-demand relation based on baskeball fun.
