Researchers have paid their attention on the problems of middle school students for a long time. Among all kinds of researches, they have came up with reasons and some resolutions,especially on the bases of Pedagogy and psychology genre. However, the result is not satisfying:middle school students’problems are ubiquitous and unsolved. The previous research were carried out by analyzing both the mono-factor and multi-factors which related to the problems. Misbehavior, as one of problems, but it didn’t dig out its reasons, especially the interior reasons,and so on. This paper tries not to regard those misbehavior as problems, instead, it tries to explore their positive motivation from the aspect of existential psychology.By studying the Rollo May’s existential psychology systematically, I made the conclusion that the real reason of those misbehaviors is that they are looking for the sense of existing. The paper will be carried out on the bases of Rollo May’s three theoiy:ontology of being, ontology of anxiety, ontology of existential personality. In the part of ontology of being, misbehaving is a breakout for the disadvantaged social network, and the flaunt of misbehaviors can help the misbehaving teenagers get a better social relationship and a higher identification. In the part of ontology of anxiety, misbehaving is a transfer of the current anxiety,which can help to keep a balance between physical and mental health. a mean to obtain sense of worth. In the part of ontology of existential personality, misbehaving is an one way to express the Positive freedom, it is another way to gain right of power so as to have a sense of governing over one’s life.Taking advantage of being in reserch base, I applied the method of participant observation and qualitative data analysis as well as interview, this paper explore the interior reason of those misbehavior according to the first-hand material. Besides, it points out the external reason by analyzing the current educational system. At the end of the research, I tried to respond to the current situation and wish that both the teenagers and the educators can make some adjustments in mind and in practice so as to give middle school students a healthy growth.
