Academic advising is a hot topic in the field of higher education in recent years,and it is also a huge research topic.In recent years,China's higher education has changed from elite education to popular education.The scale of university students has gradually expanded.The individual situation of college students has become more and more complex.Individual differences and individual characteristics among different students have become more and more obvious.Various academic problems of students themselves have become increasingly prominent.According to the information released by the Ministry of Education,the average number of dropouts per year because of academics and other reasons,that is,above 100,000 persons,while the number of students whose graduation and graduation are delayed due to various academic problems is not counted.According to the relevant data of the research and investigation conducted in this paper,there are many academic problems among college students in our country,such as not learning,not loving learning and not getting learning.Then,how to deal with and solve all kinds of academic problems and puzzles existing in College students,so that every student can successfully complete university studies,promote their own academic development and ultimately obtain their studies' success,these key issues should arouse enough thinking and attention of the majority of higher education workers in China.In recent years,some colleges and universities in our country have gradually realized the key role and importance of academic advising in the quality training of University talents.However,as academic advising is still a new thing in our country,its rise,development and implementation in our universities are still short,and our country is still at the primary stage of the research on academic advising.At the present stage in our country,the relevant concepts of academic advising need to be defined and clarified,the relevant systems of academic advising need to be formulated and established,and the academic advising system of our universities needs to be established and implemented.Therefore,fundamentally speaking,it is urgent for higher education workers in China to further exploit,explore,deepen and study the academic advisingBased on the theory of Student-centered Theory and student development,this paper makes a thorough exploration and research on the construction of academic advising system for undergraduates in Colleges and universities by using the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and case study.Firstly,it defines the relevant concepts of academic advising;secondly,it combs and studies the historical context of the development of academic advising in Chinese universities,and clarifies the historical trend of academic advising in Chinese universities.Thirdly,by using the empirical research method of questionnaire and interview,this paper investigates the current situation of university academic advising in China,and clarifies the problems that need to be paid attention to and solved in the current construction of university academic advising system in China.In addition,the paper combines the literature method with case study analysis method to deeply understand,analyze and study the unique academic advising system of the United States and Britain.On the basis of the above research,starting from the national conditions and the actual situation of academic advising in Colleges and universities,this paper constructs the academic advising system for undergraduates in Colleges and universities,and puts forward the overall framework of the academic advising system for undergraduates in Colleges and universities.The academic advising system for undergraduates in Colleges and universities should embody systematicness,scientificity and operability,and answer the key questions such as "who will guide","what to guide","how to guide" and "how to guarantee the sustainable development of advising".
