The Research Of Freshmen Academic Advising System

With the development of popularization of higher education, the number of students in higher education is increasing, freshmen education is also in a new situation. Freshmen academic advising is needed for all students. Freshmen learning requirements, learning environment, learning content and the learning resulting are all changing. Guiding Freshmen learning problems has begun to attract the attention of educational administrators and researchers. Attention and guidance for their learning,not only conducive to the healthy development of the individual, but also conducive to the quality of teaching in higher education institutions and raise the overall level.In our freshmen academic advising, which is based on the actual development of university freshmen learning, try to explain an important measure of the success of the transition to high school learning. In this study, the practice of freshmen academic advising as a starting point, we explain the meaning of freshmen, freshmen academic advising, the system of freshmen academic advising. Then we select some colleges and universities freshmen academic advising organizations to study and analyze the current situation. The result shows that in freshmen system, there is lack of professional staffs and the level of all staffs is not high. On the other hand, course system in freshmen education become a mere formality, rules and regulations is difficult to resonate mere formality. Besides, there also exits the problems such as security funds, institutional and other non-standard problems. Analysis of American university first year education, the purpose of education is clear. The concrete contents include seminars, common reading program, the learning community to explore projects, which enrich students' learning life. We also find the security and promoting the scholarship system is perfect. All those experiences can provide important measures and methods in improving useful insights for our university. To establish our freshmen academic advising system, we need improve the knowledge of guide staffing, strength exchanges and cooperation between national universities.Course resources integration is a good way to meet the demands of the freshmen.Relevant associations can provide some specific rules for all the university.All measures done is trying to provide better service all for freshmen.
