Entering the new era,the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core attaches great importance to ideological work,and has made many strategic directions.It has fundamentally reversed the passive situation of ideological work in the past and made the overall security of our ideology field safe.But we still need to be aware that the struggle in the field of ideology in the new era is still complex,and there are still noises such as new liberalism,"universal value theory" and various forms of nihilism.As the forefront of ideological struggle,colleges and universities undertake the mission of training new people to take on the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.To strengthen the research on ideological security of colleges and universities in the new era is of great theoretical value and practical significance to train builders and successors of socialist cause for the country and promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.On the basis of summing up the relevant research status at home and abroad,this paper follows the train of thought of defining the connotation-theoretical foundation-finding out the problems-mining the causes-putting forward countermeasures,expounds the connotation and function of the ideological security of colleges and universities in the new era,explores the theoretical basis and relevant reference of the ideological security of colleges and universities in the new era,and analyzes the ideological security of colleges and universities in the new era The overall situation and mining the existing problems and causes,and finally put forward countermeasures to maintain the ideological security of colleges and universities in the new era.In addition to the introduction,the paper is divided into four parts.The first part expounds the connotation,composition and function of Ideological Security in colleges and universities in the new era.First,starting from the two basic concepts of security and ideology,this paper analyzes the basic connotation of security and ideology respectively,then extends the connotation interpretation of ideological security,and further excavates the specific connotation of Ideological Security in Colleges and universities in the new era in combination with the background of the times.Second,based on the currentconsensus of scholars on the content of ideological security,it is proposed that ideological security in Colleges and universities in the new era is composed of four parts:guiding ideology security,political belief security,moral concept security and national spiritual security.Third,from the perspective of the role of Ideological Security in national security in the new era and the orientation of University's own functions,it is proposed that maintaining ideological security in the new era is conducive to maintaining the overall security of the country,preventing and resolving major risks in the field of ideology,adhering to the socialist direction of running a school,and implementing the fundamental responsibility of moral education Business.The second part systematically combs the theoretical basis and reference of practice.Third,it analyzes the causes of the formation of the problem.The complex and diverse social reality,the impact of domestic and foreign wrong thoughts and public opinions,the untrue pressure of the ideological responsibility system in Colleges and universities,and the inadequate ideological safety education in Colleges and universities are the important reasons that affect the ideological safety of colleges and universities.The fourth part is to maintain the ideological security of colleges and universities in the new era.First,guided by general secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on ideology,we should put the ideological security of colleges and universities in the new era in an extremely important position,strengthen the control over the leadership,management and
