Container transportation has the characteristics of high transportation efficiency, good economic benefits, and excellent service quality. Therefore,it has become the best mode of transportation for countries to ensure international trade. The container terminal is an important part of the port, used for containers' water-water and water-land reloading. The handling for container ships is an important operation link in container transportation, whose efficiency of cargo handling for container ships affects the operational level of container terminals.Along with the rapid development of large containerships, the number of handling operations is increasing. The application of new-type port machinery and the progress of handling technologies requests higher requirements on the containership handling operations in this situation.Considering the development status of container terminals, this dissertation against the above topics has mainly made efforts in the following work:(1)For the whole-route containerships stowage problem,a multi-objetive model is established, minimizing the number of shifts in the containership with optimal draft.Relaxing the partial constraints in the mathematical model, the heuristic algorithm is designed to obtain the initial feasible stowage plan, and then the initial feasible stowage plan is optimized by improved genetic algorithm. This method provides stowage plans for all ports in the whole route,as the foundation for further research on the loading and unloading operations of containerships.(2)For the coordianted unloading and stacking problem of inbound containers, the pesmistic and expected number of renhandles are used to evaluate the unloading sequence and the yard stacking distribution. And the calcaulation method is proposed to calculate the pesmistic and expected number of renhandles, and also the common formulation for the expected number of rehandles is deviated. Then a mathematical model is established to minimize the expected number of rehandles at the yard.A two-stage heuristic algorithm is designed, and its time complexity is proved. The method can solve the large-scale problem quickly by obtaining the optimal unloading sequence and the reasonable yard stacking distribution.(3)For the coordianted rehandling and loading problem of outbound containers,an integer linear programming model is established considering the influence of the stowage plan on the loading sequence for the single ship-bay operations, and it is extended to the multiple ship-bay operations, keeping balance of each ship-bay's workload. The genetic algorithm and heuristic algorithm are designed for the multiple ship-bay operations,to achieve the loading sequence and the yard rehandling plan.(4)For the coordianted stowage problem of the containership and operation plan in the terminal yard, the mutual influence relationship between the container yard operation plan and the ship stowage plan is analyzed, and an integer linear programming model is established to minimize the number of rehandles at the yard without shifting in the ship.A rule-based heuristic algorithm is designed to solve this problem.First,an initial containers distribution plan is generated.Considering the containers location at the yard, the initial containers distribution plan is adjusted to minimize the number of rehandles at the yard, aiming to integrate the containership and yard operations. Finally, the ship stowage plan, yard operation plan and ship loading plan are obtained.
