Study On Regional Soft Environment Of China Enterprises' Direct Investment To Myanmar

Since the accelerated development of the democratic reform in Myanmar from2011,China's investment to Myanmar has rising in both scale and total amount.However,China's investment enthusiasm is oppositely compared with Myanmar's anti-Chinese mood.This leads to the opposition even resistance to the Chinese investment projects,in which Myitstone Hydro-power Station Project and Lai Bitang Copper Mine Project are the typical onesLocation and development of Myanmar is important for China's promotion of The Belt and Road plan.Chinese enterprises' investment to Myanmar develops unfavorably,which is related to unfavorable investment soft environment of Myanmar.The key of soft environment construction is to promote investment enterprises to embed in the local social development,which can lead to the investment achievement.Therefore,on the basis of the new economic geography,through discussing the effect mechanism of Myanmar soft environment to Chinese investment,evaluating the regional soft environment of Myanmar on the basis of the index system which consists of institution environment,society environment,culture environment and opinion environment,analyzing the root cause of China's investment obstruction in Myanmar and its development trend,this thesis aims to conclude the advices for Chinese investment substantial development in Myanmar under the perspective of the soft environment construction.By the study,the thesis obtains conclusions as followed: ?The criteria layer of this investment soft environment is consists of 4 aspects,namely institution environment,society environment,culture environment and opinion environment.?The evaluation of the investment soft environment,which takes Chinese enterprises as the evaluating subject,reveals that the overall soft environment of Myanmar is evaluated as “medium”,the institution,society,culture and opinion environment is“poorness”,“medium”,“medium” and “medium” respectively;as the regional perspective,the middle part of Myanmar is suitable for investment,and the north partis in high risk.?The root reason of Chinese investment obstruction in Myanmar is related to the interest allocation mechanism.? Under the perspective of the soft environment construction,Chinese enterprises investment to Myanmar should be guided by “interest sharing” principal,and succeeded by Chinese government's“participatory construction” and Chinese enterprises' “embedded construction”.
