In the current Chinese society,the purpose of people's work is mainly at the level of economic income and the realization of personal value.Managers pay little attention to the level of employees' internal psychological needs.However,as the new generation of employees is becoming the main employment group in all walks of life in our country,what they value more is the meaning of work,especially the value of work.Therefore,the past management methods have led to the emergence of more and more skilled workers in the workplace with mental burnout,indifferent relationships,and impoverished hearts.How to change this status quo through the meaning of work for employees,so that the new generation of employees can maintain their enthusiasm and initiative for work for a longer period of time,is not only a focus of academic attention,but also a difficult problem to be solved in reality.The theory of meaning experience and pursuit believes that when an individual encounters a lack of meaning,it will stimulate the motivation for meaning pursuit.If enterprise managers want the new generation of employees to have a truly lasting internal motivation and maintain a long-term work enthusiasm and initiative,it must be inseparable from the pursuit of meaning.Studying the issue of motivation from the perspective of meaning pursuit can better stimulate and guide people's pursuit of high-quality work and life.In the study of organizational behavior,the meaning of work has been regarded by scholars as a basic psychological need of employees at work.A large number of studies have shown that the negative experience of work meaning will lead to problems such as job burnout and turnover of the new generation of employees;some studies have pointed out that the negative experience of work meaning can be positively stimulated and guided to have a positive effect.So,what effect does the individual encounter on the meaning of the job in the current task lack,and how will it affect its autonomous motivation in subsequent tasks?This issue is still to be explored.The existence of the problem provides an important opportunity to solve the problem.Exploring the impact of the meaningful absence of work on the motivation of the new generation of employees in the follow-up tasks has become the subject of this research.Based on the existing research results of meaningful absence of work and autonomous motivation,this study puts forward two key issues:"the content structure dimension of meaningful absence of work" and "the impact ofmeaningful absence of work on autonomous motivation".First,using the grounded theoretical methods in qualitative research,through theoretical analysis,questionnaire surveys,in-depth interviews and other methods,to explore the content structure of the new generation of employees' meaningful absence of work,further subdivided into two dimensions:work confusion and work boring.Secondly,the overall conceptual model of the impact of meaningful absence of work on autonomous motivation is constructed,and two research topics are proposed.Third,based on the methods and technologies of cognitive neuroscience,through theoretical analysis,cognitive neuroscience experiments,event-related potential(ERPs)technology and other methods,simulate the situation of work confusion in the laboratory,and explore the dimension of work confusion to the new generation of employees The influence of autonomous motivation(research topic 1).Finally,based on the methods and techniques of behavioral science,through theoretical analysis,behavioral experiments and other methods,in the laboratory to simulate the situation of boring work,to explore the impact of the boring dimension on the motivation of the new generation of employees(research topic two).The conclusion of this study:First,the content structure of the new generation of employees' meaningful absence of work includes two dimensions:work confusion and work dullness,which is a two-dimensional structural model.Second,after the subjects encountered work confusion in the current task,the individual's motivation in subsequent tasks was enhanced.The specific manifestation was that the test group's reward positive wave(RewP)difference between winning and losing waves was more significant.Third,meaning pursuit plays an intermediary role in the impact of job confusion on autonomous motivation.After perceiving the work confusion,the subjects stimulated their motivation to pursue their meaning,which in turn affected their autonomous motivation in subsequent tasks.Fourthly,after the subjects encountered a dull job in the current task,the individual's motivation for subsequent tasks was enhanced.The specific performance was that the test group's task performance was more significantFifth,after the subjects felt that the work was boring,they induced a self-regulating motivation for the state of boredom.The specific manifestation was that the subjects in the experimental group were less bored.Sixth,task-level intrinsic motivation plays an intermediary role in the impact of dull work on autonomous motivation.After the subjects felt that the work was boring,they increased the intrinsic motivation of the task level,which in turn affected the individual's autonomous motivation in the subsequent tasks.This article provides a theoretical basis for a deeper understanding of the relationship between the meaningful absence of work of new generation employees and autonomous motivation,deepens the understanding of the influencing factors of autonomous motivation,expands the research field of working significance,and strengthens the new generation employees for business managers.The self-motivated motivation of improving employees'work happiness and satisfaction has certain reference value.
