Research On The Relationship Between Market Competition,Two-stage Innovation And Enterprise Total Factor Productivity

China is at a crossroads of development.In order to meet various challenges(such as economic slowdown,economic transformation and upgrading,population aging,middle-income trap,etc.),we need sustained and steady economic growth.In this context,this paper focuses on the following scientific issues:under the dual influence of market reform and technological innovation,how to cultivate new drivers of economic growth in China?Based on the SCP analysis framework of institutional economics,This article focuses on the core ideas of technological innovation theory and integrates the latest research results of endogenous growth theory,thereby integrating and expanding the research on the relationship between market competition,technological innovation and economic growth.The research content of this paper mainly consists of three parts:first,aiming at the research field of competition and innovation,we enrich and expand the research of competition and innovation respectively.In competition research,this paper studies the manufacturing industry not only within the scope of the market competition situation of the impact of innovation,and joined the cutting-edge research perspective of industrial interaction,especially between manufacturing and services for industry situation of interaction,so as to explore the influence of producer services market competition of technology innovation;At the technology innovation end,based on the theory of two-stage innovation,we further investigate the performance of technology transfer under different market structures.Second,based on the theory of SCP analysis framework,we have two stages of innovation and enterprise empirically the relationship between the total factor productivity,in the process,we not only examines the relationship between technological innovation and enterprise total factor productivity,at the same time,based on the two-phase innovation theory Angle of view,we also examine the technology transfer,the impact of total factor productivity of the enterprise in the process of specific analysis,we also investigated respectively by government intervention and the protection of intellectual property rights has the adjustment effect.Third,it is based on the SCP analysis framework integration,will be the research of competition and innovation in economic growth level,exploring based on "the market competition,technological innovation,economic growth," analysis of the overall framework,the relationship between various variables,in the study of this module,mainly included the analysis of the issues on economic growth,we empirical analysis based on two research sub-paths,one is to explore the market competition,technological innovation,the relationship between the economic growth performance,the second is to explore the market competition,technology transfer,the relationship between economic growth,in each study,In particular,in the process of specific analysis,China also explores and analyzes the moderating effect of government intervention and intellectual property protection on the mediating variables of competition and economic growth.Based on the SCP integrated analysis framework,in order to study the contents of the above three sectors,this article contains a total of 4 research sub-topics.These sub-topics are all researched on my country's listed manufacturing companies and used micro-panel data for empirical testing.Specifically,in sub-topic 1,in order to empirically test the relationship between manufacturing market competition and two-stage innovation,we selected listed manufacturing enterprises in China as the research object,and the sample period is from 2013 to 2017.Through the construction of multiple regression analysis model,this paper empirically tests the relationship between manufacturing market competition and two-stage innovation.In this process,the regulatory effects of government intervention and intellectual property protection are investigated respectively.In sub-topic 2,in order to study the impact of market competition and two-stage innovation in producer services,according to the national economic classification standard in 2012 and the input-output data of 144industries in China in 2012,the correlation coefficient of 22 manufacturing industries to 5 producer services is calculated,and then according to the "non-manufacturing regulation" index compiled by the World Economic Cooperation Organization(OECD).The market competition degree of each producer service industry from 2013 to 2017 is calculated,and the competition index of producer services corresponding to 22 manufacturing industries can be obtained by multiplying the correlation coefficient with the market competition index.On the basis of the above work,the balanced panel data of 649 listed companies in 22 manufacturing industries in China are selected to test the research topic empirically.In sub-topic 3,we investigate the relationship between two-stage innovation and enterprise total factor productivity,and empirically test the relationship between technological innovation,technology transfer and enterprise total factor productivity respectively.The study still uses the micro data of listed manufacturing companies in China,and further examines the regulatory effects of government intervention and intellectual property protection in the specific analysis process.In sub-topic 4,based on the integrated SCP analysis framework,we comprehensively analyze the relationship between "market competition-two-stage innovation-enterprise total factor productivity".We not only examine the direct impact of market competition on enterprise total factor productivity,but also focus on the intermediary effect of two-stage innovation between the two.We examine the possible impact of government intervention and intellectual property protection in the whole model,the selection of research data and variables basically follow the basis of the previous chapter,and take the listed manufacturing enterprises in China as the research object.According to the above conclusions of this paper,we believe that the new momentum of China's economic growth depends on the following three aspects:first,at the level of market competition,because good market competition can promote two-stage technological innovation,therefore,governments at all levels should actively transform government functions and strive to build a first-class business environment,especially in dealing with the reform of state-owned enterprises.It is necessary to balance the relationship between state-owned enterprises and other types of enterprises,realize that enterprises of all forms of ownership equally participate in the distribution of elements,fairly participate in market competition and be equally protected by law,and actively eliminate factor distortions,so as to provide a good external environment for the emergence,transfer and transformation of more technological innovation achievements.Second,according to the theory of endogenous growth and the conclusion of this paper,that is,two-stage innovation plays a very important role in promoting enterprise total factor productivity.Therefore,our country needs to further improve the construction of technological innovation system.At present,China has established a huge top-down national innovation system.In the future,we need a progressive and perfect market-oriented and bottom-up innovation mechanism at the two-stage innovation level.We should not only pay attention to the output of scientific and technological achievements,but also vigorously support the diffusion and commercialization of existing innovative achievements,and in this process,we should pay more attention to the importance of intellectual property protection to innovation.It is necessary to constantly strengthen and improve the legislative and law enforcement aspects of China's intellectual property protection,and actively implement measures such as patent promotion.Third,at the level of total factor productivity,as China's current total factor productivity is still lower than the average level of the world OECD,the improvement of total factor productivity will promote the growth of China's gross domestic product to a great extent.Therefore,to manage a new round of transformation is to balance the relationship between the state and the market and take technological innovation as a new engine of economic growth.Pay attention to the decisive role of the market in the allocation of resources,supplemented by a good institutional and legal environment,so that we can better deal with the current challenges of productivity growth.
