China has been actively opening up to the outside world in recent years, and agricultural trade has become more active. As an emerging economic partner, the EU's agricultural trade with China has increased rapidly in the past decade. It is particularly noteworthy that China 's agricultural products from the European Union have risen fastest, and some of its trade products such as dairy products and pork have experienced more than ten-fold increase. The scale of China's agricultural product imports from the European Union is close to that of the United States. How to look at the leaping trade development between China and the EU? From the perspective of trade theory, traditional trade theory tends to explain trade fluctuations from factor endowments and factor prices.Subsequent trade theory uses intra-industry trade and gravity models to analyze, and emphasizes that trade agreements, tariffs, and trade barriers are major influentials.Based on this, this article not only looks at the trade between the two sides from the perspective of China's agricultural resources and development, but also looks at the development of agricultural trade from the perspective of trade facilitation, trade barriers, tariffs, and so on.In addition, the European Union is a multi-national group of national alliances, and China has not reached a unified trade agreement with the European Union, and still discusses trade with each country. Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the agricultural development trends and internal trade within the European Union. This core analysis is based on the EU's Common Agricultural Policy, which is the EU's most important agricultural policy.Compared with China's agricultural policy, this policy has a huge investment impact and is the leading force in promoting agricultural reform in the EU.Therefore, this article uses this logic to start with the analysis of this policy, then analyzes the impact of EU agricultural policies on agricultural trade within the EU,and further on China and EU agricultural trade. This article's analysis is based on the above two subjects, the main contents are:First of all,the development of agricultural product trade between China and the European Union is sorted out.The development trends of different types of agricultural product trade are summarized. The changes in the agricultural product trade structure of the two sides during this decade are analyzed. The major macro or microscopic factors are analyzed.Next, the paper analyzes the trade of keyagricultural products, including vegetables and fruits, meat, aquatic products and dairy products. It also analyzes key trading countries, including Germany,France,Spain, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.Through these,we have a relatively clear grasp of the basic overview of agricultural trade between China and the EU.Then, from the perspective of agricultural production,a comparative analysis of agricultural production between China and the European Union is carried out.The first is an analysis from the perspective of factors of production. It mainly discusses the differences between population, land, technology, capital and climate resources. These are the basic factors affecting agricultural production. Then the paper analyzs the development of key industries. The development of pork and dairy products industry are discussed after. They include the fastest-growing agricultural products that China imports from the EU.The relevant agricultural product trade advantages of the European Union are based on its mature industries. Therefore,a comparative analysis of the development of these two industries is carried out based on the development characteristics of different industries. The following is an analysis of the EU 's common agricultural policy.First, the policy supports agricultural industries in different ways.Second,it analyzes from the perspective of the EU 15 and EU 13 countries divided by the EU joining time. The change in agricultural production has led to changes in agricultural trade within the EU.This will also affect the overall agricultural trade between China and the European Union. The following chapters analyze several important factors affecting trade. The first is an analysis of trade facilitation, which is an important factor affecting trade between China and the European Union. This chapter focuses on the promotion of agricultural trade facilitation between China and the European Union, especially the promotion of trade facilitation between China and the European Union through the Belt and Road Initiative. The comparison of the degree of trade facilitation in different countries is measured through the establishment of an indicator system. Then,it analyzes the EU 's agricultural product trade policy in China, including tariff comparisons, the impact of the EU 's GSP trade measures, the EU 's trade barriers, and China 's EU agricultural product subsidy policy research under WTO rules. Finally, this paper uses empirical models to analyze the impact of different factors on different types of agricultural trade between the two sides, and proposes policy recommendations.
