Abstract/Summary:
Free Radicals are very important in atmospheric chemistry for its high reactivity and high concentration in the earth's atmosphere. It has been found that the measurements of radical concentrations can be influenced by free radical-molecule complexes. For this reason, the study of the electronic structure and physicochemical properties on the complexes is necessary. In my Ph.D study, I was devoted into the fundamental investigation of several important free radical-molecule complexes and their chemical behavior. I employed both quantum chemical and classical mechanical methods in order to reveal the atmospheric behavior of free radicals in both gas and liquid phases.
