Abstract/Summary:
Upaya process is an observation tool that actualizes inherent Buddhahood which manifests in the specific relationship between a bodhisattva and/or daimoku, Nam myoho renge kyo, and a being who is not awakened to this potential in life.;Upaya process is developed to focus on the broad relational and circumstantial aspects of the practical expression of enlightenment. Upaya process employs endowed factors that indicate how to be a Buddha modeled in the Lotus Sutra. Therefore in this project it is demonstrated by using upaya indicators and Budhha centric doctrines, why upaya process can verify manifest Buddhahood within the model of the Lotus Sutra parables and within the practice of Soka Buddhists.;Upaya process is relevant to Buddhist inquiry and social agencies because it reveals how ordinary beings in daily life can realize the potential of how to act with innate compassion towards self and others. Upaya process also actualizes the wisdom of the Lotus Sutra that assumes all beings have the inherent capacity to know the fundamental aspect of all phenomena or the interconnectedness of reality.;Given this, the bodhisattva model, the intention of the Buddha, is made accessible to Buddhist inquiry as an assumed ordinary way of actually being. Through the lens of upaya process, a fresh perspective is attained regarding the significance of practitioners who engage Buddha hood as a way of being human in the here and now.
