In an attempt to address the needs of the advanced age population, which is a rapidly expanding segment of the U.S. population, this dissertation conducted a preliminary investigation on the potential of attachment and social support serving as predictors of quality of life (physical health, morale, activities of daily living, economic resources, and spirituality) using stepwise multiple regression analysis. Social support from friends and preoccupied attachment were significant predictors for 4 of the 5 quality of life variables. |
