Abstract/Summary:
After its brutal war in the early 1990's, Bosnia is signaling its readiness to join the European Union among the influential circles within the European community. Whether or not, the "new Europe" is ready to embrace Bosnia with all its multi-layered political, cultural, and economical problems remains open.;The study's purpose is to determine whether the Bosnian leadership presents the main obstacle preventing Bosnia from a successful integration into the European Union. Furthermore, the study will attempt to identify the factors impacting Bosnia's leaders which might enhance their performance and improve the Bosnian compliance patterns and facilitate faster entry into the EU. One of the study's area of interest is to briefly touch upon the impact Bosnian leaders have and might have on the country's compliance patterns. Lastly, the study will try to determine resources Bosnia's leaders currently have available in order to enhance its country's chances on the compliance path and attitudes/perceptions of Bosnians towards their leadership's compliance efforts and EU in general.
