Abstract/Summary:
Employees who work for the federal government experience various problems with leadership and coworkers. The employee's work environment, gender, race, salary, and duration of employment influence employee satisfaction. If an employee is satisfied, then they will stay with their agency within the federal government. The problem is that is it not known how best to keep employees satisfied in their jobs. The present research examined the problem using the federal employee survey of the Office of Personnel Management. The Office of Personnel Management completed all analytic models and analysis of data that appear in this dissertation. I reviewed the data to ensure that it was correct. The results show that federal employees are satisfied with their jobs, leadership, and career choice. I recommend that future researchers collect data without obtaining it from the Office of Personnel Management to verify the results that the federal employee survey provides.
