Historically, African Americans have discriminated against each other based on skin color (light, medium, and dark complexions) from slavery, the reconstruction era, the civil rights era, and in the millennium. The occurrences of intraracial colorism discrimination claims among African Americans in the workplace are increasing significantly. However, little attention has been given to this issue in the academic literature. This study examines the occurrences of intraracial colorism in the workplace. This study will employ a quantitative descriptive research methodology in the form of a survey and skin color-identifying chart. The data analysis will result in the development of inferences for researchers and practitioners. |
