Abstract/Summary:
The problem addressed by this study was the lack of an alumni program evaluation instrument for the Graphic Arts Technology Management (GATM) program at Central Missouri State University. By developing a mailed questionnaire, descriptive survey research was conducted to collect alumni's perceptions of the GATM program outcomes, faculty, facilities, overall program effectiveness, and alumni's current information. Five research questions were formulated addressing overall program effectiveness and alumni graduation year. The data indicated there were no statistically significant differences (alpha = .05) among alumni's perceptions of the GATM program and their graduation years, and alumni were generally satisfied with their degree and experience in the program. Additional findings indicated 73.33% were employed in GATM fields, with positions of customer services (32.5%), prepress technician (22.5%), and graphic/web designers (15%) as the highest represented positions. The questionnaire was recognized as a valid data collection tool for future data collection and analysis.
