Abstract/Summary:
The goal of this project was to address the narrative of concern arising from the stakeholders of Taejon Christian International School that there was a lack of clarity, awareness and unity regarding the Christian identity and purpose of the organization. Using a postmodern research approach, the work of the project centered upon an examination of the narrative/theological dialogue arising from the history and current context of the school. It was hoped that this data would serve as a guide for the school to use as it engaged in the act of re-envisioning its Christian identity and purpose.;Through the work of evoking stories from the school's stakeholders via interview, gathering narratives related to the school's past and present ministry via survey and designing and implementing a place and time in the life of the campus where the story of God and the stories of the community could be told, insight was gleaned and discerned regarding the school's strengths and weaknesses as it relates to its Christian identity. Through an analysis and interpretation of the data, this project identifies that both historically and currently, the school is experiencing a constant state of liminality leading to a strong element of communitas throughout the story of the organization.;It is concluded through this project that for the school to realize its Christian identity leading towards a preferred future it must acknowledge the element of communitas within its midst. It must proactively involve itself in the act of remembering its history within a biblical/theological context and engage in its future ministry focusing upon the strengths and insight inherent in the stories of its past, present and future stakeholders.
