| I10: A Paradigm for Positive Transformation is a creative transformational paradigm that offers a practical outline for personal and professional development. The Paradigm can be utilized by any individual or organization that desires a transformational change. The I10 Paradigm mirrors its origins in arts-based research by requiring participants to acknowledge the risks associated with transformation, namely that the resulting transformational change cannot always be pre-determined at the onset and often is unexpected. Engagement in the I10 Paradigm requires the identification of an area in need of change, the formulation of an idealistic vision, acknowledging and attending to fears associated with the emerging vision, all participants commitment to and involvement with the process, the recognition and honoring of the uniqueness of cultures and individuals, multidisciplinary thinking, questioning and reflection, assessment of the ideal vision, internal and external dialoguing, and ultimately the communication of the attained vision to larger communities. Engagement in I10: A Paradigm for Positive Transformation enables an individual or group to grow and impact society as the Paradigm encourages the participant/s to impart knowledge, inspiration and discoveries to others.; Although I10: A Paradigm for Positive Transformation may be utilized for a variety of subject areas and/or professional fields, research was limited to the exploration and demonstration of its application to the fields of the fine arts and arts education. Research was conducted through the utilization of heuristic, arts-based, and arts education methodologies. Within the parameters of experiences as a practicing fine artist, exhibition designer, and high school arts educator, the Paradigm provided a structure to sustain positive transformational change for learners and artist/arts educator. |
