| The topic of leadership has had many approaches researched over the years. Leadership and the traits and interpersonal skills leaders possess may be changing as our national economy changes. Leaders are facing downsizing, budget cuts, decrease in employee benefits and lower employee morale to a greater level than ever before. The national unemployment rate at the time of this study was greater than 9%. This research study focused on exploring the traits and interpersonal skills being utilized by leaders in the challenging economic state of the United States. The participants were from various regions of the country providing a diverse unbiased sample. |
