Abstract/Summary:
This intrinsic case study explored the presence of social and emotional supports within the school culture of an urban high school partnered with a trauma-therapy organization. The specific school site presented a unique example to the field of education where a trauma-therapy partnership addressed the social and emotional needs of students who experienced trauma. It examined teacher perspective using a Photovoice method. This ethnographic approach produced PhotoBoards with images from the school site that facilitated conversations with various stakeholders connected to the school- community partnership.;The topics explored in this study include school culture, school-community partnerships, trauma-informed practices, educational leadership, and the use of a Photovoice method.
