Abstract/Summary:
This study examined the relationships between available resources/capabilities (experiential resources, scale resources, financial resources, physical resources, informational capabilities, relationship building capabilities, and product development capabilities), positional advantages (low-cost advantage and high-differentiation advantage), and export venture performance (economic performance, distributor perspective performance, and end-user customer perspective performance). A total of 196 questionnaires for Thai export venture companies in canned foods and foods in containers were usable, for a response rate of 32.1%. The empirical result showed that available capabilities were positively correlated to high-differentiation advantage, and high-differentiation advantage was positively correlated to export venture performance.
