Abstract/Summary:
This qualitative case study explored organizational documents, conducted interviews, and observed participants associated with a newly formed 3-year old entrepreneurial firm in central Oregon. The focus of this study was to explore if the 31%--59% net profit increase experienced by the firm over a 3-year period was unique or a result of an ongoing pattern that might provide an opportunity for other entrepreneurs to learn. Data from this study was triangulated from 51 interviews involving 40 internal and external stakeholders, 11 observations, and 92 company documents to explore factors that may have contributed to the success of the organization. The data from the study identified the firm has remained successful through four predominant activities incorporating documentation, selection, negotiation, and integration.
