This dissertation focuses on the effect of mixing-chemistry interactions on pollutant formation in lean premixed (LPM) combustion. The pollutants of interest are NO;In this research a finite-rate mixing model is developed. The model simulates finite-rate macromixing using the Jain-Spalding (J-S) model. Finite-rate micromixing is incorporated using the Coalescence-Dispersion (C-D) model and the Interaction by Exchange with the Mean (IEM) model.
