Abstract/Summary:
Design of enhanced spur gears with new geometry for reduction of noise and improvement of bearing contact has been developed. Three versions of geometry for design of symmetric and asymmetric spur gear drives with double crowned pinion have been developed.; An enhanced computer program for simulation of meshing and contact of aligned and misaligned gear drives has been developed. The developed program enables to combine for output numerical solution with graphic illustration of paths of contact, bearing contact and function of transmission errors.; An effective approach for stress analysis based on application of finite element analysis. The contact models have been developed by application of I-DEAS and the contact and bending stress have been determined by application of ABAQUS.; A new approach for determination of singularities and avoidance of undercutting has been developed. The approach is based on investigation of meshing on the surface (line) of action.
