| Gears are the most basic parts and widely used in mechanical engineering field.Face gear is a new type of gear with many unique advantages,for example,large coincidence,transimission stably,a small footprint,effective torque split,is now widely studied and used in the field of aviation and aerospace.Due to the particularity of application domain,compared to common gears,face gear requires higher precision and stability on the premise of safety and reliablity.It is important to study the establishment of three-dimensional model and transmission performance of face gear.Processing principle and the principle of tooth surface generation of the face gear are studied in this paper.According to the tooth face equation of the tool cylindrical gear,the relative velocity of the meshing and the meshing equation of the tooth face,the meshing tooth face equation of the face gear,the transitional surface equation of the face gear,the maximum outer diameter that tooth top is not sharp,and the minimum inner radius that the tooth root will not be cutted were deduced.The manual modeling of the orthogonal spur face gear and the cylindrical gear were completed in UG.Due to the tooth face of the orthogonal spur face gear is complicated,adopt a entity modeling method of creating a point,then a line,then a face.Manual modeling of the face gear is completed by calculating a series of discrete points of tooth face by using MATLAB.Then using UG as a secondary development platform,UG secondary development method was understanded deeply and mastered.The parametrized modeling of the orthogonal spur face gear was completed by applying UG/Open tool set,combining C++ and UG/Open Grip language to finish common programming.Using expression tools and UG/open API to complete the parametric design of cylindrical gears.The secondary development of the orthogonal spur face gear transmission system module was realized.Nest,the tooth surface contact theory of the face gear is studied,the meshing equation of the face gear below the point contact state is deduced.Through the matlab simulation analysis,it is concluded that with the meshing angle of the cylindrical gear and the tool gear increases,and the contact trajectory on the tooth surface of the face gear in the point contact state moves from the inner diameter to the outer diameter.At the same time,the value of the contact stress of the contact point on the face gear tooth surface is calculated by Hertz analysis method and finite element analysis method.It is concluded that due to tooth edge contact in the position of addendum and dedenum of face gear,the elliptical contact area exceeds the area of the tooth surface,that lead to smaller results of Hertz analysis method,however,in the common tooth surface,the results of two methods are close by comparing the calculation results of the Hertz analytical method and the finite element analysis method.Finally,the tooth surface strength of the orthogonal spur face gear is analyzed.Considering the contact ratio of face gear transmission and the limitation of computer resources,the tooth surface contact stress and tooth root bending stress of orthogonal spur face gear were analyzed with five-tooth finite element model by finite element analysis method in ABAQUS software. |
