Abstract/Summary: | |
The effects of moods on human action is examined. A new model of action is presented that incorporates the influence of moods within the framework of the classical planning model. The new model presented includes problem solving capabilities; storage and retrieval of episodic memories; the influence of characterizations associated with moods on action; and a mood oriented memory organization. An experimental implementation was developed, based on the story generator TALE-SPIN, which demonstrated that mood information could be used to influence the characters' actions and interactions. |
