Abstract/Summary:
To clarify the understanding of plume attenuation in CO;The plume attenuation was reduced when a horizontal plume-suppression nozzle was used to remove part of the argon plume. The HTE values and the penetration depth indicated that attenuation was significantly lower for the He and CO;These results lead to the conclusions that plasma attenuation is dominant in argon plumes, but scattering is the dominant attenuation mechanism in helium and CO...
