Abstract/Summary:
The study considers Dialectical Behavior Therapy's (DBT's) mindfulness resources for clinicians in community mental health settings. Based on DBT's mindfulness resources, a manual was designed for group utilization in community mental health settings to provide clinicians with mindfulness handouts, worksheets, and interventions. Fifteen reviewers with 1 year or more of DBT experience were asked to evaluate the manual. Reviewers were provided the manual and asked to complete a questionnaire assessing the feasibility, readability, adaptability, and directedness of the manual. Reviewers were also asked to comment on strengths of and areas for improvement of the manual. Overall feedback was positive, and suggestions were made to make the manual more appropriate for clinicians. Areas for future research and manual modifications are discussed.
