The purpose of this study was to explore leadership style in a cross-cultural organization. This study was based on transformational leadership theory. To achieve the aim of the study, research questions focused on effect of leadership style on performance outcome of a cross-cultural organization. Qualitative design was utilized in this study. The study utilized interviews to collect data. Purposive sampling procedure was utilized. Twelve participants were interviewed. NVivo software was used for data analysis. The research has implications for guiding change within organizations and collaboration among leaders and employees to understand problems that cut across lines of authority, expertise, and resources. Findings in this study indicated a need for future research in attitudes, behaviors, and how leadership styles are developed by managers. Results also demonstrated that managers display both transformational leadership characteristics toward their followers and the approach has links to the achievement of organizational goal or objective. The findings of this study will help the cross-cultural organization to identify and select potential leaders for foreign assignments. The key finding in the study indicated that the focus of the leader is on the follower.
